When Sofia left her cottage to return to the mansion with Adam, she felt no trace of hesitation. The road that once led her away from him now brought her back home, and for the first time in a long while, her heart felt completely at peace.

Sofia's eyes widened, her breath catching as she looked at the familiar faces. Laughter and applause surrounded her. Adam's hand tightened gently around hers, steady and warm, and when she looked up at him, she saw the quiet joy in his eyes.
He had done this. For her.
