"Go Shin'en! I have hope in you," Satel cheered on
The chief looked at her with confusion in his eyes.
"You really are serious about making him king?" The chief inquired
Satel turned and looked at him, determination written in her eyes.
"Yes," she answered with cold resolve
The chief chuckled a bit then turned to witness the trial.
Shin and Bael circled each other , sizing up each other up. Bael struck first. He launched forward and brought down his sword on Shin.
Shin dodged and returned with his own. To his surprise, Bael caught his sword with his bear hand.
Bael then kicked Shin in his stomach, pushing him away and disarming him. Bael then tossed Shin's sword far behind him.
"Really. That was easier than I thought," Bael said , mocking Shin.
Shin just glared at Bael as he got up. He ran straight at Bael. Bael swung his sword down once more.
Shin dodge to the side and aimed his hand at Bael. A gust of wind shot out of Shin's hand, launching Bael into the air.
Shin quickly used this distraction and darted for his sword. Just as he was about to reach it, a shadow came at him from behind.
Shin couldn't dodge in time and the shadow grabbed the sword while slashing his back. The shadow retreated with the sword towards Bael in the distance.
"Hey, how about we start using spells," Bael said as the shadow tossed the sword into his hand.
Shin turned towards Bael. Shin scoffed at him. He rushed forward as flames from his feet propelled him forward.
Bael pointed his hand towards Shin.
"Dark magic:Tier 3:Echo," shockwaves of dark magic hit Shin in rapid succession, immobilizing him as dark mana prevented him from moving.
"I wish this had a timer. I would win just by suspending you like This," Bael said as he sighed.
Bael quickly dismissed the spell and slashed Shin's stomach open. Shin fell to the ground.
Bael moved closer to Shin and stood above him. Shin looked up at him with a blank face. Bael tilted his head in confusion.
Bael looked at Shin's stomach and saw it was healed and closed up. When he look at Shin's face he was met by a double kick.
"Guess I'll have to thank the demon king's blood for my new healing factor," Shin said as he kicked Bael on the side of his head.
Shin's eyes opened wide in shock as he saw that Bael had not moved an inch. Bael chuckled and looked at Shin.
"Not bad, human,"
Bael grabbed Shin by his right ankle and flung him up.
"Phantom sword:form 2:limit break," Bael stabbed his sword through Shin's right shoulder and a massive wave of mana destroyed it.
Shin plopped onto the ground as he laid before Bael, the back of his right shoulder opened and bleeding black.
"Oh! So you really do have demon blood in you," Bael said in shock.
Shin gritted his and grabbed Bael's left leg. Bael looked at Shin in confusion. Shin's back sizzled as it healed.
"Fire magic:Tier 3:binding burn," a rope of flame tied around Bael's body.
Shin grinned as it glowed. Bael tried coating his body in his own mana but it was too late, the spell was ready.
