I pant heavily and even before I could give a response, she terminated the call.
I panicked on her behalf as I gave a signal to the driver to take me to my cafe.
In thirty minutes, I was already there, running inside like my life depended on it.
It's just like the first time when he had come over.
"Damien!" I called the first name I could utter when I arrived.
I found him sitting close to the glassy wall, leg crossed, with a cup of coffee.
My colleagues were also sitting at a round table with guns pointed at the back of their heads, by each bouncer who stood behind them.
They were trembling, and Cadence was the only one who seemed cool by this, as his arms were crossed.
The two young ladies were already ducking their heads low and shaking.
"Damien! What's the meaning of this!" I yelled storming closer to him as the envelope in my hand felt heavy now.
I felt like I'd lose my breath due to this attitude of theirs.
