Daniala, who had been sitting stiffly and nodding at every one of Miss Yor's words just to look like the perfect, composed student, dropped the act the moment their professor was gone. She stretched her arms, rolling her neck before turning toward Avery, who was neatly packing up her bag.
"You already submitted your project?" she asked, brows knitting together as curiosity lit her face. "When did that happen? You never told me!" Her tone carried a mix of disbelief and mock offence, it wasn't like Avery to keep something like that from her.
