"You colluded with this man to forge the documents," Avery said, her voice clear and unwavering, slicing through the tension in the room.
Her eyes then locked onto Keaton's face, catching the slight twitch at the corner of his mouth as he clenched his jaw. "And then he went to the media,right on time just as I was about to be appointed as the CEO, to create a buzz... to stir doubt, to make sure I wouldn't be chosen."
She then looked around in the room. Her presence was magnetic, every pair of eyes drawn to her like moths to a flame.
"And that is exactly what happened," she continued, her tone rising with every word. "Everyone thought I didn't deserve to be the CEO. That I was some entitled heiress riding on legacy with no merit of my own." Her gaze swept across the room, challenging anyone to speak, to deny the truth she had just laid bare.
