The members looked down, flipping back and forth between the pages. Avery waited a beat before continuing.
"They don't mention who authorized the transaction," she said, her voice just loud enough to cut through the growing whispers in the room. "Not a single name. No executive approval. No higher-up signature. No recorded authorization linked to any ID or employee device."
She let her eyes drift around the table, letting her words marinate.
"That's impossible," she said, with a confident lift of her chin. "Because as per company policy-our policy-there's no way I could've withdrawn that money without formal authorization. And if I did, it would be digitally recorded. Which these documents... conveniently don't have."
The realization visibly struck some of the members. A few straightened up in their seats, others exchanged glances.
