"Haah! Haah! Nngh! I-I did it." Charlotte was panting heavily as she finished killing the remaining assassins. Her body was bloody, bruised, and she was out of breath.
During her battles, Kai did not heal her because he didn't want her to expierence what it felt like having to fight a prolonged battle where you aren't able to rest up and heal.
It was pretty harsh, but he knew this would build her up better than having her be healed after every round. In fact, she started learning how to dodge and block better to avoid getting hurt at all.
Now, after he finally killed the last assassin, Kai healed her body, but didn't restore her stamina.
"T-Thank you." She got up slowly, still breathing heavily, and walked over to the carriage as she was done for the day.
Kai didn't blame her for wanting to leave. He would want to if he were in her position as well.
"Karumi." He called out to her.
"Yes?" She appeared behind him as fast a lightning.
"Are you done?"
