Chapter 3
Friend
Sunlight streamed through the windows, gently nudging Liliette awake. She groaned softly, feeling every muscle in her body protest. Her back, thighs, and hips throbbed, reminding her of the previous night’s passion. She had never felt the aftermath of their union so intensely before.
Still cocooned in the bed, Liliette turned her head to the side to find the space beside her empty once again. It no longer surprised her. She sighed, staring up at the ceiling. The lingering sensations in her body were still unfamiliar.
Glancing down at her arm, she murmured, “It’s hard to believe that fit inside me…”
The human body was truly mysterious. Still in disbelief, her hand drifted downward, but she caught herself, quickly pulling her hands back to her chest. The thought of touching herself there had never even crossed her mind before. She was changing, becoming someone she hardly recognized.
