Cherreads

Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: The Assassins

Several red lizard guards were standing in front of me, with loud cheering coming behind them. I slowly passed them without touching them to check what was going on, when I saw the children gathered in a big circle with a dead child on the ground. Damn, Ronnie showed up in front of me before I could approach the circle, and he shook in denial.

"Remember that this is the past; whatever you try to do won't change the past. It is useless, Trash Can! Let it play out!"

What is this bastard trying to do?

The rest of the team passed the guards without touching them and stood beside me. When an intense scream came from the circle, Killeh got anxious and moved in towards what sounded like a battle had started.

"I will kill you in some way or another, Ronnie! Mark my word on it," I told him and moved past him to check on Killeh, with Ronnie laughing out loud in the air behind me.

Killeh moved into the crowd when a blue lightning lit up the circle, and I moved closer to check what was going on. A girl was standing above a Daemon with half its head sliced off, as the girl was laughing with blood splatter all over her face with everything just going fucking crazy here, and Killeh rushed in and pushed her away grabbing the Daemon to caress it with him hissing loudly and crying over the lifeless body.

Above his head, a small flame was visible between his horns, and his eyes had turned black. He just kept hissing in a lower tone, as if he were watching the girl, but it was hard even to understand if he was watching the girl because he didn't have any eye pupils.

"Daemons is very family-oriented, everyone is considered family. Your pet's reaction is perfectly normal." Ronnie uttered behind me.

The cane hit the ground, and the environment changed again. The flames on Killeh's head continued as he looked around on the floor for his family member and turned around towards me with crying eyes.

"Killeh?"

He approached me as I bent down, thinking about how I should try to explain it to him.

"Look! It is the past; it has already happened. Do you get it, little one? There is nothing we can do about it. I am sorry, Killeh."

He kept crying, and I felt horrible, so I picked him up on my shoulder. I noticed Rieven wanted to get up also, but she is way too big to sit on my shoulder. She should realize she has become bigger, I am not carrying a freaking dragon who weighs at least 20 kilos now.

"Focus on the Trial, it is not like you are on unlimited time, Van Polan!" Ronnie's voice echoed in the big area we suddenly found ourselves in.

There was a white throne at the other end, with what appeared to be several individuals dressed in black. We moved forward with Ronnie taking a step aside instead of being in front of us. As we drew closer, Samantha stood proudly, surveying the individuals, all of whom wore black cloaks.

"Welcome, my dear children! You are the ten surviving members of the new Assassin group. I hope you serve well for our Kingdom to grow bigger both here in Hell and in Valiant."

Moved quickly to the side to check the so-called assassins, but all of them had their head bowed down with the cloak covering all their faces. I wonder if the black figure I saw from a distance before is one of them here with the assassins. So, this Trial has something to do with the figure I saw from a distance earlier?

"Who do you serve?"

"THE QUEEN." All of them answered.

"Who will you die for?"

"THE QUEEN!"

"What is your coming mission?"

"TAKE OVER THE DRAGON GATE, PUNISH VILLAGERS AND TOWNS WHO ARE NOT OBEDIENT, AND KILL ALL INTRUDERS WHO DARE GO AGAINST THE QUEEN'S KINGDOM!" All of them screamed out in a surprising sync together again.

They must have an extreme dedication to teamwork, and I looked at Rieven, who stared at me. Well, never mind, we'll just be flexible; screw teamwork, we'll probably get by somehow...or die.

"Go, My Children, and finish your mission!"

All of them suddenly jumped high into the air behind us and started to run towards a large door at the other end. I only got a glimpse of a tail, which I suppose was that of a dragon or maybe a lizard, but it was blue like Rieven. They disappeared from our view, and Ronnie started to clap, all in awe, smiling like a prick.

"Did you see that Van Polan? She pulls her weight when speaking and demonstrating her authority here. Not like you who are more 'Oh my god! Something happened and my worthless pets do not agree with me and I should not force them to be obedient and they most of the time just do whatever they want, I am so weak leader and master and maybe they break the bond, then I have to go to a corner and cry like some scared bitch of human I am'".

That was a long sentence. What the Hell is his problem? Just flaunting around, causing pain for everyone.

"Aw...Did I hit a weak nerve in you? I have seen many of your memories. Do you know that you have an extremely dangerous half-demon, half-witch in your group?"

What is he talking about?

"What do you mean?"

"The girl who is with you is lactating. You do know that's the reason her breast size is so big. From the rumors here in Hell, she gave birth to a baby girl, who her sister killed out of jealousy because she could not bear children herself. The woman you are traveling with not only detests her sister, but she also left her sister alive and locked her up in a prison forever that only she can open. Imagine her anger and the sorrow at the same time, she will end up killing a lot of citizens around her when the reality hits you. Veronica Van Polan, who sent her with you on this beautiful journey to Hell, did not send her to create battle in a weak attempt to save your life, which is very low. No, oh no! The powerful Witch in Paladin Woods that I have seen in your memories is wise. The rescue mission you are going through will probably take 2 or 3 days to the Queen, then you have to walk back... HAHAHAHA! I am sorry for laughing. You think you will survive if you get the baby, even if the Powerful Queen releases her entire army on you in every part of Hell? If that happens, you and the group you are traveling with will never survive. The reason why the redhead is really with you is to provide food for the baby when traveling back, that is, if you manage to save the baby. Just some information for you, the Queen has made a pact with a specific beast who you should be terrified of, a beast you have seen from far away, and she has access to the army."

He has to be joking, right? I mean, I am already dying and dont have long time left and now this trial shit makes jokes about lactating shit, an army and squeese the milk out of Fierna. No, this shit cant be happening to me, this is not Berk Van Polans story. What the fuck is the author doing? I am fucking dying and he wants to add more shit, we havent even reached the dragons gate that is crawling with dragons. What the fuck!

Okay! I need to be calm; probably, all the readers are hating on the author right now as well. Let's tackle this peacefully and respectfully.

"Yeah! Tell me something I did not know, Goldi!" I commented in a weird tone.

Ronnie stared at me as the sound of Samantha sitting and munching on what looked like some fruit, maybe it is called "Hell's Fruit!".

"You do look like trash, but if I may speak, you are crazy Van Polan!" Ronnie said with a surprisingly serious look.

He hit the cane on the floor, and the environment changed again, and we were in a room. Killeh tried to jump from my shoulder toward another Daemon who was chained up, hanging in the air, but I grabbed him midair and pulled him in, holding him to my chest. I looked back to check on the other two, and both of them had worried expressions because we more or less just kept walking through bloodbaths by now. In front of us, there were two black cloaks, one of which was sharpening a knife on a stone on the table.

"Do not interfere, let it play out," Ronnie told us, showing up behind the Daemon.

What the Hell, how am I going to manage Killeh in this state? He is crying in my arms, but the flames were out on his head, he may not turn them on because he will burn me. I do hope so. The sharpening of the knife ended, and one of the cloaks approached the Daemon with a quick move and made a stroking cut from one end to the other end of the stomach, so several intestines hung out in the air with a pool of blood becoming bigger beneath it, blood gushed out from the mouth of the Daemon. One more cut to the throat, with almost the whole throat cut through, which made the head hang from the body, and I gagged and lost the grip of Killeh, who fell to the ground, and when he tried moving, he got frozen and couldn't move towards the black cloaks.

"Your pet is too aggressive, Van Polan," Ronnie said.

He hit his cane and we flew right out the door, sliding on a floor several meters with something dragging us until we hit several red lizards' feet in what looked like a corridor. The black coats went past the Mage with me. Rieven and Killeh quickly got up from the ground, backing away a couple of meters to be cautious about what was going on. I looked around and noticed that this looked like the corridor from earlier, when we saved the children. One of the assassins took off their cloak and turned it inside out, and I was in shock. It can't be. The black cloak was now red, they put a chain over her hands, and she started to scream out loud in the corridor as the door opened, and we quickly moved to check inside as the Mage sat down in the middle of the room surrounded by other Daemons's and giving a smirk to the guards when the door slowly closed. To my right, the Mage made a quick movement, and her cloak turned black, and I felt an immense pain as my shirt started to turn red, and I fell on my knees as she punched down on the floor with a circle of white light lit up, and she screamed at us:

"SHA GU TA MU FURAN!" With everything going black.

The End....
