Chapter 2 - The system.

Gradually, Agra's eyelids flapped open as consciousness slowly sept back into his being. And as he regained his consciousness, he felt his entire body feeling extremely sore and his head feeling extra heavy.

It didn't take long for him to recognize the place he was at as it was too familiar to him, the infirmary, as it isn't just once or twice had Agra woken from this room.

You see, being who he is and how he behaves, Agra had picked quite a number of enemies than friends.

And being this much weak, he had always been an easy target for bullying, even just for a little bit of fun.

But this time, something felt different, something felt a live within him, something vibrant, an energy of the sort that circulated through his entire body that made him feel strong and powerful.

He got off the small metallic bed while clenching his fist and opening them in amazement. Never in his life had he felt this strong, like he had the power to command and ride the clouds.

He dashed over to a small mirror hanging at the wall of the room he was placed, just to confirm if this was even true.

He clearly understood the irony on this but still, he just had to confirm it for himself, and right in front of him, stood a boy of sixteen years with the most beautiful blue eyes across the entire galaxy.

But his looks kind of betrayed him, especially with his slightly curly black hair that made him look nothing less than a clown that stood at a height of 5 "11.

Agra was practically week when it came to physically attributes, more like he was cursed by the gods.

Yes, he now felt this vibrant energy circulating allover his body but that didn't dictated his current appearance.

One could have sworn to count the ribs from him body from a distance. As he looked more like he could be knocked down by the simplest of a wind blow.

As he continued to be amazed by his new found energy, a dark black background screen with a crimson writings suddenly materialized in front of his own eyes, just like those of fantasy movies and novels.

{System Sync completed}

{Evolution path assigned}

{Congratulations! You have been granted the Blackblood system}

The screen dangled in front of him.

Of course Agra was stunned by what was happening to him.

Something of this level could be considered as a fantasy, the unreal. But no matter how much he tried to deny it, it was still there, happening right in front of him.

He tried looking to the left but the screen seemed to have followed his sight. When he took his sight to the right this time, the screen was just right there in front of him.

He tried looking down, up, closing his eyes, but the screen never vanished, it was more like he was seeing it using his mind rather than eyes.

For a moment, his eyes were fixed on the word Blackblood as he couldn't tell the meaning of it. It was a new term on him, and no matter how much he tried to rock his mind to remember if he had ever come across such a word, his mind came out blank.

But before he could even figure it out, the words displaying suddenly vanished, and got replaced by a whole new set of text.

{The user can now view their status screen.}

The text displayed.

Everything was happening too fast that Agra didn't even know how to react. Before he could even digested this, another shell boom exploded right on top of his head.

He knew at this point, if he tries to overthink anything, then he might end running mad. And thus, he decided it was best for him to just ride the wind and go with the flow.

"Display status screen." He muttered, certainly welcoming the magic.

[User: Agra]

[Race: Medley]

[Level 0]

[Exp: 0/50]

[HP: 10/10]

[Strength: 10]

[Agility: 10]

[Stamina: 10]

The reason why the system displayed just a single name was quite simple. No medley has a second nor a surname.

They only receive them when recognized by their godly first parent.

To come across such kind of medley is quite rare though, and if by any chance you come across them and they wish to fight you, just run coz they'll roll over you like some kind of a bulldozer.

Anyways, from the screen dangling in front of Agra's eyes, he noticed that there were some more table placed at the bottom right corner that, according and even without doing anything and just by reading the text in his head, the screen automatically shifted.

[Fluxed Energy]

{Note! The user does not have fc, thus, any skill performed would directly affect their hp}

[Skill points: 0]

[Skill locked ???]

[Skill locked ???]

[Skill locked ???]

[Skill.

At this screen, Agra wasn't really able to see much as everything seemed to have been locked and slightly greyed out. This only made him even more curious as he wondered just what kind of FE this would be.

It wasn't brain based, he prayed, and something deep within him kind of assured him of it.

But since there wasn't much he could do right now, Agra decided to move on to the next tab.

[Inventory]

{Empty}

The last tab

[Quest]

{Not! The user's physique isn't strong enough for the evolution path set. Thus, a daily quests has been granted.}

[Daily Quest]

{Push ups: 0/100}

{Squats: 0/100}

{Curl ups: 0/100}

{Run: 0/10 KM}

[Caution! A failure to complete a daily quests would result to a grant punishment.]

[Main Quest]

{Level up to level 5}

{Quest reward: Sub-evolutional benefits.}

After checking out everything the system could possibly offe , Agra had to just think of closing the system and it did. And when he thought of opening the system again, the screen would automatically come displaying in front of him.

And after going through the system, Agra was still left wondering what kind of FE might this be.

But then, does this mean that he had lost his intelligence as, naturally, a medley can't have more than one FE. It always just one, inherited from the father's bloodline.

Like let's say, If one got transformability as their FE, they would only be able to acquire other skills that were related to this FE attribute. For instance, if someone obtained fire as their FE attribute, they could solely dedicate themselves into gathering skills that the attribute fire could utilize.

He needed this. Every task completed, every ounce of experience gained, every level conquered as each was a step toward unlocking his full potential.

The system had granted him quests, tempting challenge that whispered promises of power. But not here. Not in this suffocating room where secrets could slip through cracks, where prying eyes lurked unseen.

That book, the strange, unsettling tome, still gnawed at the back of his mind like a parasite burrowing deep. Where had it come from? What was it? And why did it feel less like an object and more like a presence, watching him, waiting for something?

And then, there was his FE. A force he barely understood yet felt pulsing beneath his skin, a silent enigma demanding to be unraveled. Answers lurked in the shadows, and that's exactly where he would keep them until when the time was right.

But the task, the task could not wait.

His gaze flickered toward the only place he knew was free from unwanted surveillance. Somewhere abandoned, forgotten. A place where no soul would wander freely.

Without hesitation, he pivoted, his footsteps light yet deliberate, his pulse thrumming in sync with the quiet hum of the system.

Today, he would begin.

Today, the unknown would become his playground.
