Erina's golden hair wasn't ideally suited for traditional Hanfu. Most Hanfu are plain, commonly black and white.

These colors generally don't look good with golden hair.

But Renz had prepared for this long ago.

Golden hair looks best with opulent, red-hued Hanfu, and Erina's temperament naturally exudes an unyielding aura.

After Erina finished Renz's makeup.

Erina went backstage to change.

Renz, meanwhile, adjusted his attire in front of the mirror. It was, admittedly, the prime of Renz's age. He also noticed that his eyebrows had been shaped. This was definitely Erina's doing, making Renz meticulously groom himself. Dressed in this outfit, with Erina's makeup on, and a folding fan in hand.

With a flick of his wrist, he opened the fan and smiled at Yu Nagasawa, exuding the carefree swagger of a wandering swordsman. The thought of appearing on screen in Hanfu reminded Renz, as a Y-tuber, of watching a bald UP host's ancient costume Hanfu transformation show. He felt that Hanfu looked good and suggested bringing something new to the show why not try wearing Hanfu?

Seeing Yu Nagasawa's slightly dazed expression.

Renz breathed a sigh of relief.

From an aesthetic perspective, Hanfu is recognized by many Asian countries. In fact, the kimono is a derivative of Hanfu. However, Hanfu did not continue to be passed down, while the kimono maintained its tradition. At the end of the Ming dynasty, when the Manchu Qing entered the pass, the Qing rulers, to consolidate their rule, forcibly interrupted Han culture by implementing the unprecedented 'hair-cutting and dress-changing' policy, prohibiting Han people from keeping Han hairstyles and wearing Han clothing. Hanfu was thus forcibly interrupted for over three hundred years.

However, because Japanese history did not have a similar 'hair-cutting and dress-changing' policy like China's.

Therefore, the kimono has been preserved, leading to its recognition being far greater than that of Hanfu. Some people even confuse Hanfu and kimono. Recently, Hanfu culture has been in a state of revival, and Renz personally finds Hanfu aesthetically pleasing, so he brought it out for use.

"The content for the first episode's filming seems to include an interview segment. Can you tell me the interview questions in advance?" Renz subtly probed.

Knowing the interview questions in advance would provide an opportunity to prepare, allowing for composed answers. If he had to improvise, saying the wrong thing would be very awkward. And it wouldn't just be Renz who was embarrassed; Erina would be embarrassed alongside him, as they were a team.

Yu Nagasawa, who had been momentarily lost in thought, immediately snapped back to attention at the question. "Oh, yes, there are some questions in the first

scene's filming."

"From our perspective, we recommend improvisation, as it leads to better and more authentic show results."

"Preparing in advance would carry the suspicion of pre-scripted lines, and the audience would still be able to tell."

"However, according to variety show rules, it's not impossible to give you the questions in advance."

"Are you sure you want me to give you the questions beforehand?" Yu Nagasawa repeatedly asked for confirmation.

"How about this, are the questions difficult, and do they involve privacy?" Renz quietly asked.

"The questions aren't difficult; they're standard questions and won't overly involve privacy, but they will certainly touch upon some aspects of private life," Yu Nagasawa gave a very positive response.

"Then I'll just answer them on the spot," Renz thought. Participating in a variety show was for fun. Since the contract was signed, he figured Yu Nagasawa wouldn't give them overly outrageous questions. Asking the questions beforehand would be like a student cheating on an exam. It wouldn't be fun for the show, and it would feel like just going through the motions of work.

During their conversation.

Erina had already emerged from backstage.

She was dressed in a red Hanfu, with a subtly draped veil covering half of her face. The garment was adorned with gold threads and phoenix-like patterns, and beneath the veil, a blush the color of a sunset peeked through. She lightly swept her golden hair back, and with her naturally queenly aura, she walked over in such a magnificent manner that everyone around her paused in awe.

With both charisma and beauty.

In Renz's eyes, Erina in this outfit was absolutely breathtaking.

"Hey, is this good enough?" Erina immediately reached

out and pinched Renz's face.

"No, why are you always pinching me?" Renz admitted he was stunned for a second. He hadn't expected Erina to

look so stunning in this outfit.

"If I don't pinch you, I'm afraid you'll keep zoning out. The show is about to start," Erina glared at Renz like an angry tiger.

"You mean I'm not allowed to look at pretty people?" Renz retorted.

"You and your glib tongue," Erina rolled her eyes, no longer maintaining her aloof goddess-like demeanor.

"You two prepare yourselves. The show starts in five minutes. There are four new couples in total. In the first episode, no couple will meet in advance, nor will they know who else is participating in the show."

"The first episode will be an introductory segment primarily consisting of dialogue and interviews," Yu Nagasawa directed, simultaneously giving instructions and deployments to other staff. "You two will undergo separate individual interviews, and then appear together."

There were about twenty minutes of preparation time.

After the camera crew gradually arrived.

Renz and Erina found a spot and quietly sat down. There was a narrator behind the scenes. The person was very serious.

Yu Nagasawa gestured to the camera crew, and the first scene began filming.

Renz and Erina were led to different rooms for their interviews.

"Welcome to the filming location of our 'Koi no Challenge' Season 2! This season, we've invited a mysterious couple to participate in the program."

Throughout the show's recording, the narrator had no on-screen presence. Renz sat in his designated spot,

listening and waiting for the production team's questions.

"Let's welcome the new champion of the culinary world, the strongest rookie king who successfully challenged the Totsuki Gourmet Street all by himself Renz Bayani!"

Renz's scalp tingled.

Japanese people really had a knack for creating awkward situations. While the information given was correct and the phrasing wasn't wrong, when it came from their mouths, it just had to be accompanied by a bunch of random titles, making an achievement that wasn't particularly chuunibyo (middle school syndrome) suddenly overflow with chuunibyo levels.

Renz could only smile and nod.

"He is one of the male leads of this season's show, and his current achievements in the culinary world are brilliant and splendid. And his wife is truly extraordinary!"

"His wife is the heiress of the prestigious Nakiri family's God's Tongue!"

"Erina Nakiri!"

"However, Renz-kun's esteemed wife cannot meet him for now, because we have prepared two different sets of questions for this couple."

"In these sets of questions, there's no penalty for wrong

answers, but there are prizes for correct ones!"

"So, please listen carefully!"

"If you were to prepare a gift for your wife, what kind of gift would you choose to give her?"
