Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Waking Up to Two Children

Renz woke up feeling… off.

The first thing he saw was a luxurious chandelier hanging from the ceiling—something far beyond what he could ever afford.

He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. Where was he? The bed beneath him was enormous and unbelievably soft.

He quickly realized—this wasn't his home. His family background was ordinary at best; they owned a modest house, nothing extravagant. This kind of place? Out of the question.

Was he kidnapped? No. Who would kidnap a broke gamer? He dismissed the thought immediately.

He sat up, preparing to examine his surroundings. After all, people don't just wake up in unfamiliar places without a reason. Even accidents follow some logic.

Then he froze.

What the hell kind of plot twist is this?!

His expression twisted into one of shock as he jumped out of bed and backed against the wall. His eyes widened.

Lying in the bed were people. Three of them.

He glanced up—mounted above the bed was a large wedding photo. A man and a woman.

The man, wearing a suit and a faint smile, looked nearly identical to him. Even if the clothing and style were different, the outline of his face was unmistakable. Most notably, the two tear-shaped moles beneath his left eye—impossible to fake.

Renz's mind snapped into full clarity. Cold sweat trickled down his back. He turned to look at the clock on the wall—a high-end model that displayed both date and time.

Ten years later...

His body still woke up on schedule, just like always. But that wasn't the issue here!

How did I end up ten years in the future?!

Renz panicked. Think! What happened last night?

He was an e-sports pro in a niche game. Due to contractual obligations, his club had sent him to study in Japan for four years.

On his first day, after reporting to Hachimitsu Academy, he returned to his rental apartment and discovered a game disc—"Life Simulator."

He played a bit, fell asleep… and woke up to this mess.

The game! Yes—the Life Simulator!

Wasn't this situation exactly like the game's introduction? In it, the protagonist and his wife are transported ten years into the future. To return, the husband must take care of his wife, raise their children, and achieve recognition in a specific industry.

There were three goals in the game:

1. Make your wife from ten years ago happy.

2. Raise your children into valuable people.

3. Achieve international fame in your chosen field.

It was a farming simulation game, of all things.

If this was really the game, then as a professional gamer, Renz felt confident… except there was no menu, no HUD, no way to log out.

He began to despair.

Then, from the bed, came movement.

"Dad, I'm hungry..." a sleepy little girl yawned, sitting up and stretching out her arms as if asking for a hug.

Renz froze.

If this really was following the game's setting, then—this girl must be his daughter.

And yet... he couldn't cook! Sure, he was good at making instant noodles, but he couldn't feed his daughter instant noodles for breakfast!

Wait... why could he understand Japanese so fluently? He was only in his first year in Japan—his Japanese shouldn't be this good.

And why was his daughter speaking Japanese so naturally?

The villa around him was clearly upper-class. Even if he won world championships in his niche game, he'd never be able to afford this lifestyle.

Did he marry into a wealthy Japanese family?

He quickly pulled out his phone. The lock pattern was still the same as ten years ago. He checked for food delivery—he was at least good at ordering takeout.

No luck. Breakfast delivery didn't seem to be a thing.

What do you do when your daughter is hungry and you can't cook?!

Just then, more movement from the bed.

A woman stirred.

Erina Nakiri rubbed her eyes and turned over—only to find two small children next to her.

Then, her gaze shifted—to the man standing before her.

Who is he? This was her villa in Tokyo. How did this man get in?

"Mommy, I'm hungry!" The little girl whined again, this time to Erina.

The little one's outstretched arms now reached toward her mother instead.

Renz, still frozen in place, clearly wasn't meeting the child's expectations.

"Mommy?!"

Erina turned to stone.

What the hell is going on?

How did I become a mother overnight?!

The blonde girl in front of her… bore an undeniable resemblance to herself—at least 60%.

And the child's affection felt real.

"…Can you cook?" Renz finally forced himself to speak.

He was never good with women. Three years of professional gaming had left him socially awkward, used to talking only to his family and teammates.

The woman before him unsettled him.

But the child was simply too adorable. He couldn't just let her starve.

Wait. Is she really my daughter?

Had he really gotten married in the future?

"I can," Erina replied coolly.

Honestly, she wanted to curse this man out. But right now, understanding the situation was more important.

She glanced at the clock… and then at the wedding photo above the bed.

Her expression shifted into something unreadable.

Just like Renz, Erina Nakiri was now questioning her entire reality.
