The moment Kaien descended, the world shifted.
Every spiritual satellite orbiting Earth flickered. Every network, from the smallest AI cluster to the most secure sovereign servers, detected a surge — a pulse of raw qi intertwined with data. It wasn't energy as science understood it, nor spirit as cultivators once knew.
It was both.
The Flame Code had returned.

[PROTOCOL IDENTITY: HEAVEN BREAKER // NEO-SOVEREIGN]
From the floating towers of New Dawn to the submerged cities beneath the Arctic Core, humans and machines paused in unison as a golden aurora painted the sky. Children saw visions of wings, old cultivators wept, and dormant AI cores began to hum ancient chants that hadn't been spoken in five centuries.
But far away, in the shadowed void between the moon and Mars, an invisible fortress stirred.
The Temple of Equinox — rebuilt, restructured, no longer bound by monks and priests but by quantum souls and dark cultivators whose spirits were embedded in machine shells.
In its deepest chamber, surrounded by a cathedral of wires and black flame, a figure awoke.
Its eyes glowed red — each iris rotating like a digital mandala.
> "So the spark finally ignited," the voice whispered, echoing through a thousand linked consciousnesses.
"The Neo-Sovereign lives."
All around, dozens of mechanical beings knelt, their bodies humming with corrupted qi.
One of them — a woman made of translucent data — raised her head.
> "Protocol Sovereign Ignition breached every firewall. He carries the Heaven Breaker signature."
> "Good," the figure replied. "Then the cycle begins anew."
He rose — tall, robed in shifting code, and crowned by black lightning that formed a halo of distortion. His name was Archon Veyra, the Eternal Executor of the Temple, and the last being to witness Wang Chung's fall firsthand.
> "For five centuries, we waited," Veyra murmured. "Now the Sovereign Flame burns once more. Prepare the Obsidian Choir. Begin the Reversion Sequence."
> "Yes, Archon."
A low hum filled the air — mechanical chanting interwoven with demonic murmurs. Black data streams poured from the walls, coiling into a massive construct in the center of the chamber — an inverted lotus of void energy.
> [PROJECT: NEO-SHADOW — STATUS: RECONSTRUCTION 43%]
Veyra raised his hand, summoning a holographic feed of Kaien's glowing form above New Dawn.
> "You think you're his successor, boy?" His voice was almost gentle.
"You're merely his continuation — and we will end you just as we ended him."

Meanwhile, back on Earth.
Kaien hovered over the League's main platform as dozens of Technocultivators, students, and instructors surrounded him in awe and fear. His aura was calm, but his presence distorted the air.
> "Kaien… what did you do?" Professor Lin gasped.
"Your body… it's radiating dual-phase energy. That's impossible!"
Kaien looked at his reflection in the polished steel. His hair now glowed faintly white at the tips.
He smiled faintly. "Maybe it is. But so was the idea of breaking Heaven."
The horizon flashed.
In the distance, through the upper atmosphere, dark stars began to appear — artificial void spheres forming one by one.

Kaien's smile faded.
> "They're coming."
Professor Lin trembled. "The Temple? But… they were destroyed centuries ago!"
> "Not destroyed," Kaien said quietly. "Just waiting."
The sky screamed.
Black thunder rolled as a colossal vessel emerged from hyperspace — a floating cathedral of obsidian steel and burning red qi. Its hull bore the ancient sigil of the Temple, and its cannons radiated demonic light.
Kaien stepped forward, his eyes burning gold and silver.
> "Then let's see what they've learned in five hundred years."
He extended his hand — and the air around him ignited.
> [SOVEREIGN FLAME: ACTIVATED]
[MODE: NEO ASCENSION]
The storm roared to life once again.
