While they were hugging, Leon looked at his status sheet, eyes bulging as he read through everything that'd been present. It became abundantly clear that while he was definitely weaker than Alfia, or Zald… even if they were all the same level, he wasn't that much further behind them now. He took a deep breath, and straightened his shirt, standing up…
"Shurry, you've had a wonderful effect on so many people now." He flashed his status. "I am one of those people now too." He laughed.
"I told you Uncle, there's no need to worry about your status. I could tell from a glance, you were due for it. Just wait a little bit and soon you'll be level 10." Shurry replied with a smile as his hug with Baldr came to an end.
"One day I'll catch up to Zald, and have a good rematch with him."
Shurry let out a chuckle… "You still have a ways to go if you want to reach his ability. Though, I'm sure you'll eventually achieve it, at some point."
A party to welcome the School District started, during which Malik was besieged by what looked like multiple Nernatti's in truth it was just her moving faster than he could properly perceive.
"Nernatti, what did I say all that time ago?" Idunn asked, interrupting the fun.
"You said I shouldn't try to bed him. But that was then, and this is now. Isn't that right, little brother?"
The party stopped, and looked towards Shurry.
"Indeed, I have managed to convince Ouranos to put more responsibility on the Tsugunai. However, it will only go through in the event the School District decides to stay in Orario."
"Huh?" Idunn trembled, and quickly turned to Baldr… Hugging her grandkids close, and making a face as if to say; "you'd better answer the right way".
Baldr finished chewing, took a sip of his drink, and sighed. "What is your reason?"
"Family."
"I see, in that case… can they handle it?"
"You were able to manage with Malik on his own, right?"
"Yes, but he did have some difficulty from time to time. He'll level up soon."
"Then it's exactly what those idiots need. They're strong, but they lack the stuff that really makes one strong. Tempering them via good deeds is the best way to get them up to speed."
"Why do you want to have them grow stronger?"
"So they don't bring more death to more innocents… and especially so they don't accidentally kill a goddess for a second time."
"I see… In that case, I think it might be worthwhile to trade off responsibilities." Baldr said with a full smile. "That'll give me time to play with these adorable grandchildren."
Nernatti's lips curled into a huge smile, her thoughts clear as day. "In that case! I Nernatti, the Dark Sand Girl will formally propose! Malik Alfort…" The two of them were already dancing again, as she spoke, staring deep into each other's eyes. "I want you, let's be a couple. And have a little one!"
Malik knew this was coming, even so he was shook. He didn't really understand what he should do, or say. Then he realized something… in his sight was no longer just a woman with whom had affection for him… she was Nernatti, the beautiful woman of whom his own heart, finally free from the responsibility of the School District's mission around the world, could now freely beat with the love it had.
"The mask on my heart is gone. And I can see clearly now, as if I'd been trapped in a storm, to only now have the rain break… Before me now is a beautiful woman, whom I desire to be the mother of my children." He kissed Nernatti… both of their ears flicked with reckless excitement. "I do."
"And now we have another wonderful thing to celebrate!" Hathor cheered, beyond happy that her captain has finally decided to push for motherhood. "Baldr, in the event the School District must remain moving on its mission, I'm sure we can figure something out. So, you've made the right choice…"
Hathor familia's impressive roster of adventurers began to truly be noticed in Baldr's eyes. His eyes glanced at some people enjoying a drink together, dancing on the tables… then to some others competing to see who could eat the most, only to be instantly outdone by Skol and his sisters.
"I believe you're right, perhaps I shouldn't have worried about it at all. I am having an eye opening experience here. Your children have worked incredibly hard to get this far. It is most impressive!"
A relatively new level 5 stumbled over with a drink in hand, she hiccupped and then downed her ale, she plopped down right next to Idunn, and drunkenly filled her mug up again.
"Hehe, thanks for that, bright god of light, Lord Baldr!" She cheered, lifting her mug to the air. "He brought us the cutest little brother ever!!!" She pounded the whole mug like it was water. "Don't worry about anything! We're all here! Isn't that right?" Everyone cheered. "See, even in the event the foolish weaklings on the Tsugunai can't do it, we'll help you."
Another level 5 burst out in laughter. "You? Well, Ottar is too much for you as you are, but the others wouldn't be too difficult."
"EH! You talk like you'll do better?"
"Of course I will. I won't be pregnant." The level 5 laughed in his deep voice.
"I suppose it's been awhile since my last kid…" She stood up, and got that look in her eyes. "Don't blame me for this…" she leapt over the table, tackling the other guy to the floor. "Because you asked for it."
"Like I'd complain about this." He laughed.
Baldr watched the whole affair until the pair left for a slight bit of privacy. He blinked, and returned to his own drink, allowing the music and sounds of the party to overcome him for a moment while in deep thought.
"Hathor, your familia is quite close. To think the women here would be so eager."
"Oh my dear friend, surely you know I'm a goddess of motherhood. Naturally the ladies in my familia will have a slight tendency…"
"Slight?"
"Yes, slight."
"If that's, slight, then what's not?"
Hathor's lips curled into a slight smirk, but she didn't say a word. The party continued on into the night leading into the next few days.
