After sitting around in the VIP section of the hospital hallway, exactly thirty minutes to the second, Jayvaughn finally stood up. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed, a sound of heavy surrender. "I'm going to Axel's room," he announced to Lucian, his voice flat. "I can't stay here forever."
Lucian leaned back on the bench, a playful snicker escaping him. "Who knew a day would come that Jayvaughn Draxler will be afraid of someone? The legendary Captain Jayvaughn, the man who never flinched, is scared of facing his own boyfriend."
Jayvaughn just shrugged, trying to act like his fear of Axel's disappointment doesn't bother him, but he wasn't convincing anyone, least of all himself. Lucian then quickly got to his feet.
"Wait for me," he said. "I need to tell your boyfriend goodbye too. It would be incredibly impolite if I just left the hospital without saying a word to him."
