Chapter 2 - Chapter 1 Reaction and change.

"Only a possibility, right?" I said. That is too much information for me to digest.

I have seen and heard some things once impossible in my lifetime. But the idea that every possible reality gets destroyed by a single chain of events that happens in a single world never made sense. I know about that theory—the idea that there are multiple possible realities after humans exist. But a single reality shouldn't affect others. What about the reality where this so-called Chaldea group manages to defeat this Goetia entity?

Time doesn't work that way. Erasing whatever is in the past shouldn't affect the future; it just leads...

Wait.

"Girl, uh... what was your name again?"

"Mash."

"Right, Mash. As much as I want to believe you, that just isn't possible. Even if such an entity were to do something, let's say in this reality, it shouldn't affect—"

It doesn't take long for me to realize it. I'm probably in an alternate world right now. The word how I got to this place should be second priority. I need to help with whatever is happening in this reality first.

"Because it isn't happening that way, Emiya-senpai."

What?

"Let me explain more clearly. Goetia didn't just destroy the possible realities themselves.

He destroyed the thing that creates those realities—humanity's history.

Such a thing shouldn't be possible, even if he governs the power of Solomon."

The power... of Solomon?

Isn't Solomon supposed to be just a king?

How strong is this Goetia guy?

I don't know how this organization protects humanity, but I sure know I can't help with whatever problem they have.

"Because he used the power of the Holy Grail.

...

Holy Grail.

"Whoa, whoa, isn't the Holy Grail something exclusive to the Holy Grail War?"

It's a system created by the Matou, Einzbern, and Tohsaka. Powered by the Third True Magic—Heaven's Feel.

"Mash, that shouldn't be possible. Without the Holy Grail War, that just isn't possible.

Unless Goetia has the Third True Magic, Heaven's Feel... no one should attain it that easily."

"What is the Third True Magic?" The girl looks confused, as if she has never heard of it.

She didn't know?

This makes everything complicated.

"Alright, let's stop here." Yes, it useless if i keep asking "I don't think we should be chatting like this when you said every reality is in danger—"

"Oh ho~~ seems like there are two left over." My body begins to rumble. Who is that?

"Who are you?" I say in a serious voice as I trace both dual blades, Kanshou and Byakuya.

"Just like Mash Kyrielight said, I am Goetia—the one who governs the corpse of Solomon, and finally, the first Beast of Humanity."

I don't like that authoritative voice.

I don't like him.

"Oh, so it seems like you managed to survive, Mash. How do you feel now that I've proven you wrong?

Humanity is still as pathetic as it was. Thankfully, I've ended their suffering—"

"YOU! Just because—" she shouted back at Goetia, beginning to stand in anger.

But—

"Because your favorite senpai is dea—?"

"Huh?" She was shocked to hear that.

"He is dead."

"Dead as hell."

She began to fall to the ground, clenching her fists.

"You know, the person I pity the most is you, Mash.

The fact that you think humanity stands a chance against what we are doing... I mean, pathetic."

The guy was mocking her.

"Oi."

"Hmm?" said Goetia.

He wasn't really here, but it felt like he shifted his gaze toward me.

"Ah yes, who are you again?"

I smirk a little bit and didnt answer him.

"Are you really sure you managed to destroy humanity's history?" I ask.

There's also one major reason I didn't believe Mash—because…

"You doubt me, mongrel?"

Hmph. What are you, Gilgamesh or something?

"No, it's just that I doubt the owner of the Second True Magic would ever give you a chance to do that."

Luckily for me, it seems my words did cause some reaction.

"What—what's happening? No, nooooo—"

Goetia's voice slowly faded, as if something had taken him and sealed him away.

The ground of Chaldea began shaking.

'Senpai! The ground is shacking!"

"Mash, hold on to something!" I shout at her, and she instantly grabs onto something nearby.

What the hell is happening?

Third-person POV

Outside Chaldea, only space can be seen. There is no Earth—its surface completely destroyed by Goetia.

This should have killed the Counter Force, Alaya, completely. There should be nothing left to make her ever exist.

But Shirou Emiya isn't wrong.

Time doesn't work the way Goetia perceives it.

He only affected a single world. There are multiple worlds he didn't touch.

Chaldea has entered survivability mode.

From the outside, Chaldea begins to change—into something like a spaceship.

Just like Alaya, it adapts to survive. The final safeguard Solomon left behind before he cowardly vanished from this world's texture, burning all of humanity's history with it.

Where did he go?

We don't know.

That the story for next chapter.

Chapter 1 end.
