Chapter 1 - Prologue

Shirou emiya pov

I was walking after finishing my grocery shopping for today's cooking. Saber has been wanting me to cook some hamburgers for her, and on top of that, Tohsaka also asked me to cook her some carbonara pasta.

Truly a gluttonous duo—but hey, at least those gluttons are my friends

"Tap, tap, tap."

I keep walking down the dark street.

You know, it's kind of weird how this place feels safe now—especially after we won the Holy Grail War.

Funny thing is, it was actually a pretty peaceful place before… if you ignore what went down during the Fourth Holy Grail War.

I stepped forward, placing my left foot on the ground.

And in the very next second—right as I blinked—

"What the hell…?"

My eyes met something completely unexpected.

A futuristic-looking place… like a room.

The walls and ceiling were made of

metal.

I looked at myself.

My body felt like I was lying on a bed in this room.

Honestly, it was way more bland than my usual bedless setup—sorry, but futon the true GOAT.

So, I did what any normal person would do—check out where I was.

First, I looked around the bedroom I was in. Like I said before, it was just a normal room. But something caught my eye.

A weird-looking logo with some words beneath it:

"Chaldea Security Organization."

Ah, so I got kidnapped.

Well, I'm definitely not getting isekai'd like in those novels—because there's no way Tohsaka wouldn't kill me if that happened (even if it wasn't my fault).

"Seems there's nothing important here anymore."

After checking the room thoroughly, I started walking toward the door.

Zhing~~~

It was an automatic door—neat. Just like the ones at the mall.

You know, I'm kind of an engineering enthusiast myself.

Don't blame me for it—after fixing who knows how many air conditioners, machines just naturally make me curious.

Outside the room...

I saw no one. In fact, it was pretty dark out there.

Weird. I don't think an organization that kidnapped me would leave the hall completely unguarded—especially right after kidnapping someone.

"If they even kidnapped me in the first place."

"Tap, tap, tap."

Each step echoed as my shoes clashed against the iron floor, moving through this strange place.

In my left hand, I held my flip phone—battery at 90 percent—and used its flashlight to cut through the darkness.

I kept walking... and walking. It felt endless. I thought I'd see someone soon.

Then, I heard it—the sound of a girl crying.

I moved toward the sound, and what I saw made me stop.

It was a sun-like sphere, spinning with multiple rings orbiting around it—no, more like a bright red Earth.

"What the hell is that?"

I'd never seen anything like it before. Wait—could it be... Prana? It's powered by Prana. No wonder I felt so familiar the moment I stepped here. This whole place runs on Prana.

"Magus."

This must be a magus organization... Damn, I need to be careful. As in slowly enter the room, i saw what i suppose

Looking for..

Wait... isn't that a girl?

Oh right, that crying girl voice..

She definitely is crying.

She had short pink hair and weird armor. Wait a minute—she's a Servant.

She looked straight at me. Looking at me with tears flowing through her eyes.

"Uhh, hi?" I said so casually

Then suddenly, she charged at me.

"Oh sh—"

She bumped into me so hard we both fell.

"Ouch, ouch..."

That really hurt. I looked at the girl.

"Senpai, that's good—you're safe. Everyone... everyone's gone, I don't kno—"

She looked at me again...

...

"You're not

senpai? " she said while crying with somewhat confusion tone.

"Hello, I am your cushion."

Wow, never thought man actually made out of coushion.

After about an hour of helping her calm down, I finally asked the question that had been on my mind.

"Uh… I'm sorry about whatever you're going through, but… could you tell me where we are?"

The girl tried to hold back her tears, sniffling as she spoke.

"Now that I think about it… I've never seen you before."

Then she muttered something under her breath.

"You kind of look like him..."

"Uh, what was that again?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Uh—nothing!" the girl said quickly, a hint of panic in her voice.

She took a moment to compose herself before finally answering my question.

"Well… outsiders aren't supposed to be here."

"It's not like—" I started to reply.

"No, that's not what I meant," she cut in. "I mean… it's nearly impossible for anyone to be here in the first place."

Her answer caught me off guard.

So I wasn't kidnapped? That idea just got tossed out the window.

But that only raised more questions.

If it's nearly impossible for outsiders to be here...

Then where exactly am I?

"Senpai must be really confused right now," she said gently, wiping the last of her tears. "But… we're actually inside Chaldea—the first and last organization dedicated to preserving humanity."

I blinked. Did she just call me 'Senpai'?

"Whoa, am I really that old?" I asked, half-joking.

Honestly, the way she spoke kind of reminded me of Sakura.

"I bet we're probably the same age. Just call me Emiya," I said with a small smile.

"Oh, right—Emiya-senpai."

"Just Emiya."

"E...miya-senpai."

"E."

"E."

"Miya."

"Emiya-senpai."

...Damn it, this girl.

The best I could do was smile and roll with it.

"If what you're saying is true—that this place is Chaldea's secret base—then… where is everyone?"

As far as I could tell, the only things in this entire building were me, her… and that sun-looking sphere.

"I… I don't know," she said quietly.

"You don't know?" I echoed, a bit surprised.

"The last thing I remember… someone was protecting me from a blast…"

She paused, then looked at me seriously.

"Are you familiar with the name Solomon?"

Ah… isn't that the guy from Abrahamic religion?

Muslims call him the messenger of God, while Christians mostly refer to him as a king.

"The biblical king? I've heard of him before… but I don't know much beyond that."

I looked at her, brows slightly furrowed.

"May I ask what he has to do with our current situation?"

She nodded slowly.

"While the King was said to possess the highest wisdom ever bestowed upon a man… he was also the master of the 72 Demon Gods and that 72 demon god has combine to became non other then goetia, the beast of humanity.," she said. "He was the main cause behind the destruction of many prominent points in human history."

She exhaled, her voice trembling slightly.

"Possibly now… even the destruction of all of human history."

Destruction of human history?

Why would she say something like that?

"In what extent?" I asked, my voice low.

She looked me dead in the eye.

"In every possible reality… that could exist, or does

exist."

Gulp.

No… there's no way. Doesn't that mean—

"There's a high possibility that outside this Chaldea… there's nothing left."

She looked at me, her expression heavy with quiet despair.

"Because one thing you should know, Emiya-senpai…"

She paused.

"We've lost."
