"Of course, it's to please you." Aurelia's lips curled into a light smile, her words were airy, and they swirled in her mouth, but in Joy's ears, they sounded as chilling as if from Hell.
"Please me?"
Aurelia realized that Daisy, this girl, was actually a bit oblivious. "You showed malice toward me in the restroom. She wanted to please you, so she deliberately targeted me, hoping to earn a position with you. I don't know what benefits she hopes to gain from you, but she's definitely trying to please you."
Daisy's face immediately darkened. Being in a wealthy family, she was no stranger to people approaching her with ulterior motives. She hated those who pretended to be friends but approached for personal gain. Her gaze toward Joy no longer held the same ease and friendliness, now tinged with wary disgust.
