Chapter 34 - Clash of Flame and Spark

Scene: Celestial Arena – Astral Academy

The arena trembled beneath the weight of anticipation.

This was no mere spar. This was a clash of destinies.

Two forces who had Laughed, , and risen together.

Anay vs Naman.

The moment everyone had waited for.

Saki leaned forward, lip caught between her teeth. Reika watched in silence, eyes sharp as blades. Ashwajeet, arms crossed, remained impassive—yet even he couldn't ignore the pressure rolling off the stage like waves.

Even Reika whispered,

"Their presence… it's not something anyone can measure anymore." This is going to intense.

Match Start

Instructor Rivan: "Begin!"

A blur of motion.

Naman launched forward, flames exploding from his heels.

Naman: "You ready, Ice Boy?"

Anay (smirking): "Born ready."

Naman struck the ground—

"Blazing Pillar!"

A tower of flame roared forward like a dragon's breath.

Anay didn't flinch.

"Frost Pulse."

A glacial wall erupted from the earth, splitting the inferno in two. The impact sent a cloud of steam skyward, veiling the arena in thick mist.

Phase 1 – Clash of Movement

Within the fog, they fight

Naman's fists blazed like miniature suns. Anay moved like a storm—leaving trails of frost and flickering sparks behind him.

Naman: "That all you got!?"

Anay: "You'll see."

Suddenly—Anay appeared above—lightning surging around his fist.

"Storm Fist!"

The blow crashed into Naman's shoulder, sending him skidding back. But he rose with a grin.

Naman: "Nice. Now watch this."

"Infernal Bloom!"

A shockwave of fire erupted from the ground in a circular blast.

Anay glided aside, skating across a trail of his own frozen lightning—

Thunder Ice Skating. A fusion of speed and precision, frost and volts.

Phase 2 – Naman's Power Unleashed

Naman's eyes glowed faint red.

A familiar energy—one absorbed during the Celestial Island trial—now surged through his core.

Naman: "You think you're the only one hiding power?"

"Blaze Limit: Crimson Drive!"

Flames enveloped his body, turning crimson. The ground sizzled beneath each step.

The temperature soared—audience members wiped sweat from their brows.

Saki (stunned): "That's… not ordinary fire."

Ashwajeet (calmly): "He's awakened something. It's unstable… and dangerous."

Phase 3 – Anay's Dual Affinity Awakens

Anay exhaled, calm and centered.

He raised both arms—lightning arcing from one hand, frost spiraling from the other.

Anay: "Cryo Tempest Mode."

Above, storm clouds gathered. Snow began to fall—but each flake sizzled with static energy.

He surged forward, zig-zagging across the field in blinks of lightning speed—then slammed his palm into the ground.

"Flash Freeze!"

The terrain crystallized into jagged ice.

"Thunder Rapture!"

A chain of lightning crashed down from the sky—turning the battlefield into a frozen tempest.

Final Phase – No Clear Winner

Frost met Flame. Lightning clashed with Heat.

Their fists collided, shaking the arena's foundation—shockwaves splintered the outer walls.

Both boys stood panting, bruised and blistered.

And then—

They charged again. No powers. No elements. Just raw spirit.

BOOM!!

Smoke swallowed the stadium.

As it cleared— They still stood. Bloody. Proud

And still ready to fight

Naman (grinning): "Hope you're ready to lose, brother. I'm just getting started."

Anay (smiling): "I should be saying that."

Naman lunged—flames spiraling around his fists.

Anay channeled ice and lightning into his palm and dashed in—

CRACK!

Their blows collided with perfect precision, splitting the stone beneath them.

Naman: "Not bad."

He followed with a rapid Flame Kick Barrage, each one hotter than the last.

Anay floating inches above the ground, weaving between the kicks. He struck upward—then slammed down a Thunder Strike, sending Naman back.

Naman: "You're still holding back."

Anay: "So are you."

They vanished—flashes of fire and lightning tearing through the air.

Phase 2 – Limit Break

Naman: "Let's end this!"

"Infernal Drive: Crimson Quake!"

Volcanic flames burst from the ground in violent eruptions.

But Anay was already in the air. With a gesture, the entire arena below turned to ice.

Naman slipped—struggling for footing.

Anay: "Let's end this"

He drove a Thunder Strike through the ice, causing it to shatter and reflect lightning bolts into Naman.

Naman rose slowly, smiling through the burns.

Naman: "Ice always melts before fire."

His body radiated intense heat. The ground steamed. Ice began melting under his mere presence.

Students (whispering): "What's this heat?!"

Naman: "FIERY CORE—INFERNO BURST!"

A blazing torrent shot down from above, engulfing Naman, enhancing him.

He surged at Anay.

Anay tried to freeze the flames—but they evaporated his ice.

He clenched his fists.

Anay (thinking): "Then I'll use that."

Thunder cracked the sky.

Ashwajeet (shocked): "That… that's—"

A colossal bolt of lightning struck the field, neutralizing the fire. The pressure stunned everyone.

The arena's barrier cracked.

Phase 3 – Divine Attacks

Dust cleared.

Both boys stood, barely upright.

Naman (smirking): "Didn't think we'd go this far…"

Anay: "It's not over."

Then—

ROOOAAARRR!!

A Crystal Lightning Dragon surged behind Anay, its eyes glowing—its body fused with Anay's spirit.

Naman: "Fine then…"

A celestial blaze erupted behind him— A Fire Phoenix, majestic and wild, shrieked into the sky.

The stadium shook. The clouds turned violet-gold.

Naman: "Let's finish this!"

"Ultimate Phoenix Flame!"

All the elders in shock

Elders" These are divine attacks

Anay: "Crystal Lightning Dragon Strike!"

Their avatars soared—clashing midair as their users charged below.

BOOM!

The impact shattered half the stage. Smoke engulfed everything.

Instructor Rivan (stepping in): "Enough! This match… ends in a draw!"

🏁 Result: Draw

No cheers.

No clapping.

A silence born of awe.

Reika (softly): "They're… monsters."
