Kakashi was back in his Hell's kitchen apartment. The Hell's kitchen was quiet and too peaceful today. People were unaware than an entire group of ninja criminals had been killed and not a trace of them was left.
Kakashi was already planning his next move against Hand.
Kakashi looked at his ninken as he addressed Pakkun. "Pakkun, make sure to look into the other four Hand leaders. I'm sure they won't sit still after one of their leaders and all of her men have disappeared for good. They might even have an internal war to get control of whatever assets Madame Gao had. But this should limit their operations in Hell's Kitchen and New York."
Pakkun flicked his tail which translated to 'On it, boss.'
Kakashi continued, "They'll likely wait to see and understand what threat they're facing before retaliating, probably with a trump card this time."
Kakashi's voice grew serious. "Also, look into others that were part of her supply chain. She controlled a portion of Hell's Kitchen's underworld—specifically the heroin trade. There'll be a power vacuum there, which everyone will look to fill. That'll mean bloodshed in Hell's kitchen."
Pakkun tilted his head, "Do you mean you'll be stopping them? That would be a lot many gangs."
Kakashi shook his head, "I'm a shinobi not some hero, Pakkun. We'll let the gangs and other criminals take each other out. We'll just deal with the winner. Just make sure to tell the dogs to keep civilians away from the danger areas. Use barking or running after them as if you're going to bite to make them clear out."
"Roger that, Kakashi. I'll inform the others that were earlier monitoring Gao and her men to look into this." He saluted with his paw.
Kakashi's thoughts shifted to Gao's illegal activities. "Also, someone must've been covering Madam Gao's actions. A group of ninjas operating in the city—it would've gotten out, no matter how skilled at hiding they were. Whoever her ally was… he or she was trying to conceal her actions."
Pakkun nodded then his tone lightened as he smiled, "Speaking of others, Bisuke managed to find some love with another dog. She's quite a cutie—a Golden Retriever, they call her in this world. They're gonna have a pup soon. Bisuke was hoping you'd name him per the Hatake clan's tradition."
Kakashi's thoughts softened, a flicker of warmth for his ninken pack. 'Bisuke's settling down, huh?'
"Very well," he said, his voice dry, "but keep the dogs in check. Those ninja hounds have a lot of stamina and… I don't want them populating this world with ninja dogs."
Pakkun's ears drooped, his thoughts embarrassed. He nodded quickly, his tail tucking slightly. "Got it, boss. No ninja dog army."
Pakkun's gaze shifted to Naruto, who was bouncing around Kakashi, his nine tails swishing.
Pakkun asked amused, "So you're the new pup, huh?"
Naruto's eyes gleamed, "I'm not a pup, doggie. I'm a mighty kitsune. The great Naruto-sama!" He grinned smugly, his tails flaring dramatically.
"I think I know why you gave him that name, Kakashi," Pakkun said, his voice teasing.
"Would you want to join our ninja hound training, pup?"
Naruto's eyes lit up, "Ninja training?! Yes!" He bounced higher, his tails whipping the air.
Pakkun glanced at Kakashi, seeking approval. Kakashi nodded.
Naruto's eyes locked onto the Uru bone beside Pakkun.
'Shiny!'
One of his tails snaked forward, aiming for the bone. Pakkun's thoughts snapped to alarm. "No, that's mine!" he barked, swiping at Naruto to stop him.
Naruto vanished in a puff of smoke—an illusion clone. Pakkun's thoughts turned to horror as he spun, seeing the real Naruto with the Uru bone in his mouth, chewing it lovingly.
"Was yours… now this delicious thing is mine!" Naruto taunted, his nine tails fanning out to block Pakkun's charge.
Pakkun was furious. 'That little thief!'
"You little… that's mine!!" he shouted, lunging at Naruto, who danced back. Kakashi groaned, his hand rising to his face as he facepalmed.
Naruto pranced, his thoughts smug. "Catch me if you can, doggie!" His tails swatted Pakkun, who growled.
"I'll chew your tails off!" He leaped, jaws snapping, but Naruto dodged, the bone still in his mouth.
"Kakashi, tell this pup to give it back! And I take it back, he is not getting any ninja training from me. This idiotic pup already has some feline training. Just look at how he stole my bone like it's some shiny jewel that belongs to them." Pakkun barked, his eyes blazing.
Naruto's voice was muffled by the bone, "Kakashi-sensei, tell this annoying doggie to let the great me have this thing! And bah, I will get my ninja training from Kakashi sensei. Who would want to be trained by someone who is slower than oneself? I just stole the bone right under your nose and you could not even react. What a disgrace as a ninja hound!"
Kakashi decided against intervening, 'Let them sort it out. Naruto and Sasuke fought just like these two but those two ended up saving the world together. Maybe these two would end up doing something similar.'
