Mist moves to the top of a tree in the courtyard where he could possibly see the inside of David's room through a window.
As he squats down he begins trying to look into the room.
From the darkness, a pair of eyes suddenly appear behind him.
"Hello!" The owner of the eyes says.
Mist quickly pulls out a dagger from his side and tries to stab whoever was behind him.
Swinging his arm backwards he hits something, or so he thought.
His hand was easily caught with one hand by the being behind him.
"So you came back huh?" The being says still holding unto Mist's arm.
Mist wondering who it could be that caught his swing so effortlessly begins to look closely in the darkness and is surprised by what his eyes saw.
The being throws him down from the tree.
He manages to land avoiding any injuries.
The being comes down, entering into the dim but beautiful moonlight.
It was David.
He had a cheeky smile on his face.
He began speaking as he walked slowly towards Mist.
"I'm quite glad you came. You see I've been quite stressed of late, my head hasn't been in the right place, I've been..."
Mist turns and tries to run away but as he turns David appears right before him.
"Where do you think you are going?" David asks.
"Dont you know it's rude to walk out on someone who is pouring his emotions out to you?" David says.
"You are breaking my heart man." David states, placing his hand on his chest.
He hits Mist with his palm on the chest, sending him rolling some distance on the floor.
"That was just a little punishment for trying to walk out on me." David says still with that smile on his face as he begins walking towards Mist.
"W...wai.." Mist tries saying something as he was still on the floor trying to get up but David suddenly dashes at him and strikes some pressure points on his neck thereby muting him before he could finish what he was saying.
"Shhh, shh, c'mon man, don't you know you ought to be quiet and just listen when your friend is ranting to you? c'mon, do better man, don't worry, I'll let you go when I'm done." David says squatting in front of Mist.
"Now, where was I?" David says as he rises to his feet staring into the sky.
"I've been thinking about a lot of things, a lot has been going through my mind.
Should I really be killing people so easily? without guilt? should I really take the lives of people so trivially?
Aren't they humans just like me?
All those thoughts have been popping up in my head.
I don't know why though, I never thought of such when I was with my sister in my first life in this place.
Maybe because she's not here with me? or maybe because I'm in the body of a child?
But in the end, you know what I've come to conclude at?" David says as if asking Mist as he looks at him.
"All those thoughts don't matter.
My late master used to say, 'In the Murim, all that matters is Power, only those with power can risk having emotions.'" David heaves a sigh as he looks back at the sky.
"That woman used to say a lot of things, may her soul Rest in Peace." David says as he places his hands together as if offering a prayer.
"Back to the topic on ground. So I have concluded that those thoughts don't matter.
Humans are known to be very selfish beings, and I have decided to be selfish too, to get to my goals, I can't afford this expensive thoughts, na na na."
David began walking around Mist as he spoke, his killing intent grew, the dark mist from his Phantom Technique activated and grew thicker by each word.
His voice louder and deeper by each sentence;
"Anyone who crosses my path? I'll run them over.
Anyone who blocks my path? I'll crush them and their people.
Anyone who goes against me? I will erase them and their family.
I don't give a fuck about their feelings, their family should have never crossed me.
I am David, bringer of terror, The God Of Death Sangdaejong, and no one shall dare cross my path and remain alive, until I get my revenge for my little sister, Diana."
As he finishes everywhere becomes silent.
It was like a graveyard.
The moon which was giving some kind of light hid behind a cloud.
Mist was sweating profusely.
"This boy is crazy, I'm not going to make it out of here alive." He thought to himself.
He could've just stood up and try to run or at least fight, but David's killing intent had paralyzed him.
David looks at him as the moon slowly comes out from hiding.
"You must have realized that you are not going to survive this." David says with a smile.
"Yes, I said I was gonna let you go but...I lied" David says as he giggles a little.
"I would have killed you painlessly but you see, I need to relieve some stress." David says as he squats placing his right hand on Mist's collar bone.
His hand slowly sinks into his flesh as he snaps off his collar bone.
Mist's mouth wide open as if trying to scream but not a single sound was heard.
He tries to swing at David with his other hand but David slaps his hand a away and slaps him in the face as he says with a smile;
"C'mon, be a good boy and let's enjoy this together."
Tears began building up in Mist's eyes.
This was a grown ass man about to cry.
A man who has killed and witnessed death and torture.
I guess David looked that scary that night.
David didn't want any form of information, neither was it to punish him, so it wasn't a form of torture, he just wanted to relieve some stress, and the world presented him with a lamb, Mist.
He grabs Mist's forearm, breaks it and proceeds to grab his arm.
He pulls hard and removes his arm from his shoulder joint, spraying blood everywhere.
Everytime Mist tries to do something David would put him down.
David begins pulling out his ribs pair by pair.
The pain was so unbearable Mist was about to knock out but David did not let him.
He hits two pressure points at the side of Mist's head causing him to never be able to fall unconscious until he died.
"It wouldn't be as interesting if you passed out, you need to try better, be in the game man." David says with a smile.
David continue ripping things out from Mist's body.
At that point Mist regretted ever coming here, he regretted ever working for Ximen Jong.
After a while of dismembering Mist, David comes to a stop.
The heart of Mist was right before him, beating slowly.
He grabs it softly and satisfying squeezes it slowly until it could beat no more.
Mist was dead.
David rises to his feet slowly.
He looks up at the sky with blood all over his hands, chest, abdomen and face.
"This is just the beginning Diana, I'll send many more to keep you company."
