Jiang Chen took the Mysterious Plate out from the system space. As soon as he took it out, Ralts and Beldum approached.

"Ralts?"

Ralts bit its small hand, its eyes, covered by its bowl-cut hair, looking at Jiang Chen.

"This is something that can improve your potential and strength; it's good for you."

Jiang Chen possessed Aura Power. Although his Aura Power was still very weak, he could roughly understand what Ralts was asking him.

Ralts was asking what this Mysterious Plate was.

Placing the Mysterious Plate on the bed, Ralts lay beside it, and Beldum floated in mid-air, absorbing the power emanating from the Mysterious Plate.

"System, open the mission panel."

[Mission: Own an Elite Four level Pokémon. Mission Reward: Ability Converter - Huge Power, Charizardite X one piece, 100,000 points!]

[Mission: Obtain first place in the campus ranking competition. Mission Reward: TM - Teleport, 8,000 points!]

[Mission: Own six Pokémon. Mission Reward: TM - Hydro Pump, 10,000 points!]

There were currently three missions on the mission panel. After completion, other missions would refresh. One could also consume points to refresh missions.

Jiang Chen knew what the TM (Technical Machine) rewards from the missions were; in the games, they were skill machines that allowed Pokémon to instantly learn moves.

However, what Jiang Chen was most focused on was that Ability Converter.

"System, that Ability Converter - Huge Power, can it convert a Pokémon's ability to the Huge Power ability?"

Jiang Chen asked the system.

[That's right, it can indeed convert a Pokémon's ability to the Huge Power ability. It is sold in the shop; the host can check!]

"This reward is amazing."

The Huge Power ability and the Pure Power ability had the same effect: physical attack was doubled. This was the most desired ability for any physical attacker.

A good ability could change a Pokémon's combat power.

Conversely, a bad ability could turn a Pokémon into trash.

For example, Regigigas's ability was Slow Start: for five turns, its attack and speed were halved, which could be called a terrible ability.

Another example was Slaking, the ordinary Pokémon with the highest base stats among non-legendaries and non-pseudo-legendaries. Its physical attack was high, its speed was fast, and even its physical defense and special attack were not low; it also had very thick HP.

Looking at its base stats alone, it was the same as Regigigas, Kyogre, and Groudon. Although the strength of Legendary Pokémon couldn't be judged solely by base stats – for example, in the real world, the Legendary Birds' base stats were lower than pseudo-legendaries, but they were still gods, capable of slaughtering any pseudo-legendary.

However, with Slaking's base stats, it should have no problem thrashing pseudo-legendaries. But its Truant ability directly ruined it; it would slack off during battle, truly living up to its name "Slaking" Leave Request King.

Because of this ability, despite having super high base stats, it was even less popular than the starter Pokémon.

"If I use the Huge Power ability to replace Slaking's Truant ability, wouldn't it instantly transform into an 'Overtime King,' slaughtering all sorts of pseudo-legendaries?"

"This Ability Converter must be obtained."

Jiang Chen glanced at it. The Ability Converter that could transform an ability into Huge Power cost three million points in the system shop.

"Whether I can complete this mission the fastest depends on Dragonite."

Among the Pokémon he had, apart from Dragonite, all were novices. Only Dragonite was just one step away from becoming an Elite Four level Pokémon.

Anyway, this mission had no time limit. Jiang Chen was certain to get this reward eventually, so he wasn't in a hurry.

The other two missions were easy to complete, and the TMs were good. The real world also had similar things, called HM (Hidden Machine) scrolls.

However, unlike TMs that allowed instant learning, HM scrolls used special hypnotic techniques to implant the skill of releasing a move into the Pokémon's mind.

After implantation, it wasn't learned immediately; it still required time and practice to learn. However, this was still much easier than self-learning.

Moreover, HM scrolls could only be used once, while TMs obtained from the system could be used repeatedly.

"Day after tomorrow is a holiday. I'll go to the wild and try my luck, try to capture two Pokémon to complete the mission."

Jiang Chen wouldn't just casually capture Pokémon. Not to mention not wanting those with talent below Elite Four, he would at least consider capturing those with pseudo Elite Four potential.

After washing up, Jiang Chen lay on the bed to rest. Ralts leaned against Jiang Chen's embrace, one hand still resting on the Mysterious Plate.

In the darkness of the night, the Mysterious Plate shone with a faint pink light. In their sleep, the strength of Ralts and Beldum was increasing.

Not just them, even the Mysterious Plate had an effect on Jiang Chen.

Holding the Mysterious Plate all the time, perhaps Jiang Chen would gain psychic abilities. Additionally, aura was also described as the spirit of every living being, and his Aura Power was also constantly strengthening under the influence of the Mysterious Plate.

The benefits brought by this Psychic-type Mysterious Plate were not insignificant.

[Ding, congratulations to the host. Your Ralts's strength has increased to Ordinary, third rank, obtaining two hundred points. Your Beldum's strength has increased to Ordinary, fourth rank, obtaining one hundred points!]

The next day, as soon as Jiang Chen opened his eyes, he heard the system's prompt. Training Pokémon and letting them increase their strength could also earn points.

For the Ordinary level, each rank increase yielded one hundred points.

"The effect is that good."

Jiang Chen was somewhat surprised; this Psychic-type plate was too strong.

"Wait, my Aura Power seems to have increased too."

Using Aura Power to sense his surroundings was like looking at the entire room from a bird's-eye view.

Everything in the room was taken in by Jiang Chen's eyes.

Unfortunately, he still couldn't rely on Aura Power to communicate telepathically with his Pokémon. If he could communicate telepathically, he wouldn't even need to speak to command them in future battles.

"Ralts."

Ralts looked at Jiang Chen with a blankly cute expression.

"Ralts, I'll put you in a Poké Ball first to bind you to this Poké Ball."

Hearing Jiang Chen's words, Ralts nodded.

Jiang Chen took out an empty Luxury Ball and touched Ralts with it, directly capturing Ralts inside.

"Come out, Ralts."

After the binding was complete, Jiang Chen released Ralts again.

After coming out, Ralts tightly gripped Jiang Chen's hand.

"Ralts Ralts~!"

"You don't want to stay in the Poké Ball?"

Jiang Chen understood Ralts's meaning.

Ralts immediately nodded.

Lifting the hair that covered Ralts's eyes, looking at its pitiful gaze, Jiang Chen's heart softened.

"Alright, I promise you. Unless it's a special situation, I won't put you in a Poké Ball."

Jiang Chen picked up Ralts. Seeing that Jiang Chen didn't put it into a Poké Ball, Ralts's mood became happy.
