I breathed down in relief once I noticed that It was the same warrior who was kind enough to point me in the right direction that had spoken, and that it wasn't Declan or the giant sized warrior.
"I didn't mean to frighten you, I'm sorry." He apologized with a smile that seemed genuine.
"It's alright." I said, hiding my surprise. A warrior apologizing to a nobody wasn't just rare but impossible but this warrior right here just apologized to me, even though Declan had already made it obvious that I was noone and nothing.
"Cedric," he said, and stretched out his hand for a handshake. Suddenly feeling nervous, I grabbed the handle of the bucket which was now half-filled with water, with the rest of it spilled on the ground. I backed away from him, and turned towards the tap to get a refill, but he stopped me with one firm but gentle hold on the handle of the bucket.
