"Besides, what makes this room yours and yours only?"
"Maybe because it's my house!" Zayne said through tight lips.
Evelyn scoffed. "Our house you mean?"
His left eye twitched.
"Listen, Mr. Mancini, as long as you keep me as your betrothed, this house is both yours and mine, which means I share your room as well. That guest room is a big fat no. Now if you want me out, you know what to do. Just say the word and—"
Zayne got off her and sat at the edge of the bed, hand dragging down his face. "Leave my room, Evelyn. I like my sleep, and seeing as you don't let me enjoy it, I don't want you in here!"
"Not happening."
Evelyn turned over, flat on her stomach and palms propping her chin up. She held a smile.
"You know the magic word, peacock."
"Do you think I'm stupid? Or that I didn't know what you did with that deal you made with me?"
She shrugged. "I don't know what you're talking about?"
