Five years later...
Nash had just finished training at the Crimson Phoenix Base and was driving home leisurely.
Looking outside, he suddenly spotted a familiar figure.
"Charlotte?!"
Stopping the car, he opened the window shield to confirm he wasn't hallucinating.
"Brother Nash?!" Charlotte muttered in shock, seeing the car stop beside her.
"It's really you, Charlotte! You've grown up!" Nash said as he got out of the car.
"Brother Nash, I finally found you!" Charlotte shouted, jumping into his arms.
"You've already grown up; don't do this anymore," Nash sighed helplessly.
Charlotte was already 10 years old; thanks to the void energy optimizing the body to the peak of its form, Charlotte looked 15-16 years old.
Nash felt it was inappropriate for her to hug him so forcefully.
"I don't care! I'll always be Brother Nash's sister, no matter how old I am," Charlotte said, not caring about the gossip of the passersby.
"Anyway, where's Elijah? Aren't you two inseparable?"
"Brother is busy training," Charlotte pouted.
"What about you? Aren't you supposed to be training?"
"Shh, I escaped from the training institution. Don't tell anyone, Brother Nash," Charlotte whispered, looking around vigilantly.
"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. You're already so strong; some rest is a must," Nash agreed.
He sensed that Charlotte was already at a 9% saturation rate, the same as his.
Seeing this, Nash could only sigh.
Throughout the years, he already knew his talent was trash, just like the rest of the Earthlings; he was destined to be mediocre all his life.
If not for the Runic Space and his luck, he might not even reach a 9% saturation rate after hundreds of years until his lifespan was exhausted.
"Why don't you treat me today, Brother Nash? I haven't seen you for five years, and I've missed you so much," Charlotte said, clinging to his arm.
"That's fine. You can also tell me what you've been doing these past years," Nash nodded, curious about her experiences.
However, just as Nash was about to let Charlotte inside the car, a flying vehicle came charging towards them.
"Watch out!" Nash hurriedly dragged Charlotte to the side, fearing it would crash into them.
Fortunately, it seemed that the driver was quite proficient and braked just beside them.
Glaring at the flying car that nearly hit them, he saw a man hurriedly get out.
"Miss Charlotte, I found you!"
"Leo?! Why are you here?!" Charlotte muttered as if seeing a ghost.
"Miss Charlotte, you sneaked out again! Teacher Michael asked me to pick you up," Leo said helplessly.
"But I don't like training! I've only been out for 30 minutes. I'm just a kid; let me play for a while," Charlotte pouted.
"This is not the time to play. As talented prodigies chosen to save Earth, we must not only think of ourselves!" Leo said righteously.
"Oh…" Hearing this, Charlotte wilted like a plant.
Although the Earth Alliance Government was a puppet government, it still had some power.
Leveraging their authority and rights as creatures living under the Chronos Galactic Empire, they managed to get quotas to compete in the cosmic competition.
If they could manage to rank even in the lowest sector-level cosmic competition, Earth would be free from the control of the Arlean Civilization or any outside force without shedding any blood.
Unfortunately, over the years, they faced failure after failure.
Talented Earthlings trained by the government were either too weak or poached by the Arlean Civilization and other organizations outside of Earth.
Wanting to train a prodigy from scratch, Charlotte, Elijah, Leo, and a few others aged 7-15 were chosen to be trained vigorously.
They were the hope of Earth, the weapons forged to break through their situation.
Thinking of this, Charlotte suppressed her childish impulses.
"Who's this?" Leo asked, finally noticing Nash.
"This is Brother Nash!" Charlotte said, clinging to his arm.
"Nash? Nice to meet you; I'm Leo," Leo said, shaking his hand with a smile.
"I'm Nash," Nash said nonchalantly, feeling Leo's grip tighten.
"Want to play this game?" Nash thought mockingly as his hand turned soft and squeezed in an instant.
Although Leo was a Void Warrior, Nash's control over his body was phenomenal.
Even the mightiest tigers relax once they believe their prey is dead, much less a kid like Leo.
Taking advantage of this split second, Nash remotely activated the [Overloading Module System] and tripled his strength.
"Ah!" Leo couldn't help but yell, feeling the pain in his hand.
"What happened to you two?" Charlotte asked, sensing something was off.
"Nothing, we're just playing a man's game. A child like you wouldn't understand," Nash reasoned, patting Charlotte's head like a child.
"Is that so?" Charlotte asked, looking at Leo, who was holding his hand in pain.
"Y-yeah, we're just playing some game…" Leo said reluctantly, not wanting to appear weak.
"I still have something to do. Just call me when you have time, and don't forget to bring your brother, Elijah," Nash said, giving Charlotte his contact information as he bid her goodbye.
Watching the car fading in the distance, Leo's interest was piqued.
"Who's that? What's his origin?"
"I don't know. My brother Elijah and I met Brother Nash five years ago. Until now, we don't know his true identity. Mysterious, right? And so handsome~," Charlotte chattered, thinking Nash had become even more handsome.
"Is that so? That man is so strong; it felt like he could've crushed my hand whenever he wanted…" Leo murmured as the pain in his hand subsided.
"What did you say?" Charlotte asked, not fully hearing Leo's voice.
"It's nothing. I was thinking of inviting this Brother Nash of yours to meet Teacher Michael. He might be a valuable asset…" Leo said in deep thought.
Leo didn't care about anything besides saving Earth from its plight.
He had had enough of oppression and tyranny. His father, mother, grandparents—he didn't want such tragedy to happen to others.
"What? Invite Brother Nash to see Teacher Michael?" Charlotte asked, not believing her ears.
