Chapter 31 - Unfair Sparring

"Fight? Are you out of your mind?" Nash said, exiting the runic space.

Nash still wasn't used to talking while in the runic space.

Seeing that his body was no longer in pain, Nash hurriedly controlled it in person.

"That's right! To confirm that you're fully healed, we should test it in a fight," Camilla said, looking at him with interest.

Thinking he was able to fight a Void Beast for a minute, Camilla wanted to dissect Nash's body to see what was inside.

"I just recovered; can't you have mercy?" Nash said helplessly.

Even the trio on the side looked at their captain, wanting to speak up for Nash.

"Hmph! Don't look at me with those pitiful eyes. A high-grade potion was enough to bring back even a seriously injured Void Warrior."

"With the Void Crystals you absorbed, you should be stronger now than ever!" Camilla retorted, seeing the dull Void Crystals in Nash's pocket.

"I—" Hearing such reasoning, Nash was speechless.

Indeed, after recovering, he felt the Void saturation rate in his body reached 4 percent.

Two of the Void Crystals in his pocket had also become dull, signifying the cost of his enhancement.

"Come to the sparring room. Don't make me wait!" Camilla said, walking out.

Not wanting to suffer more punishment, Nash dragged his body to the sparring room.

Hector, Amber, and Emily also followed, curious to see who was stronger between the two.

Witnessing Nash's strength as he fought neck to neck with aVoid Beast, fighting an official Void Warrior shouldn't be a problem.

---

In the Sparring Room, Camilla and Nash stood face to face, wearing ungraded combat suits.

"Captain, make sure to keep your promise this time," Nash reminded.

"I know! I won't use Void energy to defeat you!" Camilla said through gritted teeth.

"Start!"

At the cue, Nash quickly dashed toward Camilla, wanting to take her down instantly.

"Heh! I'm not the same as before!" Having trained her close combat abilities, Camilla sneered at Nash's actions.

Although she couldn't use Void energy, she could use her full physical strength.

As a Void Warrior at a 10 percent saturation rate, she was three times as strong as a normal human.

Brandishing her fist, she aimed for Nash's gut without hesitation.

"You're still predictable, Captain..."

Although Camilla had become more ruthless and skilled, the data he had accumulated about her had also become more complete.

Inching closer to her feet, Nash tilted his body to the side and used his elbow, giving a blow to her neck.

Thud~

With a crisp sound, Camilla was brought back to the ground.

Cough~

Cough~

Feeling uncomfortable in her throat, Camilla couldn't help but cough.

Looking at the hateful Nash, Camilla held her discomfort and dashed toward him.

Taking off from the ground, Camilla tried to kick Nash to the side.

"Captain, watch your emotions; they make your intent obvious," Nash said, backing up as he gave Camilla's foot more force, sending her back to the ground.

Being down again, Camilla's patience finally snapped as she used her Void energy to quickly approach Nash and deliver a punch.

"This again..." Nash thought speechlessly, blocking Camilla's attack as he was sent flying.

Feeling pain return to his body, he just stayed lying on the ground, looking at the ceiling, contemplating his life.

Should he leave this demonic witch and escape to another planet or something?

"Why are you down? Quickly get up! Let's fight for another 300 rounds!"

Nash didn't bother to reply and continued to lie on the ground like a salted fish.

"Captain, didn't you say you wouldn't use Void energy?" Emily couldn't help but chime in.

"I didn't use Void energy to attack, right? Look, Nash didn't even suffer any injury. He would already be coughing blood if I had used Void energy." Camilla reasoned.

Hearing this, they were speechless.

Although their captain hadn't used Void energy to attack, she still used it to quickly approach Nash.

"Nash, get up!" Camilla urged again, not wanting to beat a fallen opponent.

Hearing his call, Nash didn't care and closed his eyes.

Besides thinking about his life choices, Nash quickly wanted to modify the [Training Module System] and incorporate the basic Void Breathing Method.

If he were also a Void Warrior, Camilla wouldn't be able to cheat him no matter what she did.

Unfortunately, even with three times his current training speed, it would take him over a decade to reach the 10% saturation point.

He didn't know how Camilla trained, but based on his deduction, she should only be 17-18 years old.

To achieve such a state, even if Camilla trained from the womb, she would need to be at least twice as fast at absorbing Void energy as he normally was.

Could it be that he was so untalented that even with a cheat, he was still beaten by Camilla?

Feeling down, the time continued to pass.

After accepting Lloyd's payment, the Crimson Phoenix Squad lay low for a while before accepting another mission a few months later.

With the tragic experience from the last mission, they became more careful, completing the mission without a scratch.

In the days, months, and years that passed, besides the missions, Camilla always dragged Nash for some combat training.

Not being able to beat him using pure skills, Camilla always used her Void energy to defeat Nash at the very last minute.

Knowing the craziness of Camilla, Nash didn't bother anymore, treating the sparring matches as mere exercise.

On the other hand, with time on his hands, Nash quickly incorporated the basic Void Breathing Manual into the [Training Module System].

After a few months of tinkering, his training speed multiplied to five times the normal rate.

Based on his calculations, unless he could get his hands on a higher manual or better resources, it would take him six to seven years to become an official Void Warrior.

Unconsciously, amidst all the hustle and bustle in the world, five years had passed...
