The thousands of people who were near the relic suddenly got sucked in. They all arrived in a wide space surrounded by monsters and people from the opposing country.
The throne at the end of the ruined temple pulsed with strange energy. Everyone knew: that was the true treasure.
A member of the opposing guild suddenly launched a sneak attack toward Rin's cousin.
But before he could land a hit, a massive energy hand erupted from the cousin's body, smashing the attacker and sending him far away with bone-crushing force. Blood splattered the ground.
The cousin turned to the guild. "Only one of us can claim that treasure. Don't let the south take it!"
Cheers erupted.
But Rin's eyes narrowed. A single drop of the attacker's blood had splashed onto his cheek.
> "Western Royal Blood Sample Detected."
Rin froze. Why would a western spy attack now?
Without drawing attention, Rin activated his invisibility. His white dragon form gave him a natural chameleon ability. He faded into the background, following the injured man quietly.
Yet… someone was watching him. Closely.
Rin kept a safe distance, careful not to alert the man he was following. The injured attacker limped away from the main site, blood dripping with every step, but he was laughing.
Something wasn't right.
He's too calm for someone who just got shattered by a 50% noble.
Rin tailed him across a rocky ridge, toward a strange patch of land covered in fine, glittering sand. The man kneeled, scooping it with his hands, muttering under his breath. He began gathering it into a cloth pouch.
Rin's eyes narrowed. What's he doing with sand?
Suddenly, a sharp noise behind Rin startled him,a loose stone or maybe a crunch of dry roots. Rin turned slightly, activating his camouflaged stance deeper, almost merging into the environment.
The spy's head snapped up, eyes scanning the area. He narrowed his gaze, and released a wave of energy, launching a bolt toward where the sound had come from.
Rin tensed. He hadn't made that sound.
The attack hit something ,or someone.
A figure emerged, coughing and shielding himself: the strong commoner Rin had fought in the tournament two months ago, kyran. He'd followed Rin.
The spy blinked in surprise. "You? I sensed someone… but not you. Who's hiding?"
Rin didn't answer. He stepped forward, pretending he'd been discovered. "I saw you bleeding. Thought you needed help."
The spy's grin curled with disdain. "You nobles… so fake."
Without warning, he lunged at Rin, energy swirling. His power was sharp and aggressive, dangerous for someone with 37% purity. Rin leapt back, deflecting with his armored forearm.
Kyran stepped in, blocking a strike meant for Rin. "Are you insane? Do you know who this is? If you kill him, war might break!"
The spy hesitated briefly. But his eyes held madness. "Exactly."
He didn't care about survival,he was here to cause chaos. His presence confirmed what Rin suspected: the West was using this realm to fuel another conflict.
The battle exploded. The spy moved like a demon, relentless and ruthless. Rin activated his dragon form ,horns, tail, and white-scaled skin. Even with his armor, it was barely enough to withstand the barrage.
Kyran fought like a wall, steady, fierce, loyal. But he was no match for the spy's erratic, sacrificial style.
The battle continued for 5 minutes , ron started feeling pressure,if this goes on he'd lose his stamina and his life he needs to do something.
Rin formulated a plan.
"Keep him busy," he shouted. "I'm charging a secret royal technique!"
The commoner nodded. "Understood!"
Naive. Obedient. But it worked.
As the spy pummeled the commoner, Rin gathered every ounce of energy into a single piercing strike. His white dragon aura flared violently.
Then,he struck.
His fist with the help of the dragon form and the armor tore through the spy's chest. At the same moment, it severed Kyran's arm.
The spy's eyes widened in disbelief. "Impossible—" he gasped, before collapsing.
Kyran fell beside him, blood pouring from the stump of his arm.
Rin stood above them, breathing hard, laughter spilling out.
The system's voice echoed coldly in his ears.
