Chapter 6 - WEAPON ENGINEERINGM

Hey, Lex, where are you heading now, Vera said as they left the class. To grab some food, then await the next class, he said, without stopping. Then we should go together, I am also going there.

After eating and chatting for a little over 40 minutes, they finally left for the engineering class.

Vera, which mana engineering course did you choose? I chose weapon engineering. Oh, I chose mecha engineering. Okay then, we will meet after class, Lex said as he approached the weapon engineering class door.

Due to it being for the elite, and not everyone offered weapon engineering, the room only had 9 students, plus the teacher, making it 10.

It seems that was the last person, the teacher said as he swiped on a holographic screen.

My name is Lucan Thorne, and I will be responsible for the elite weapon engineering students.

Today, we will be talking about alloy manipulation and reinforcement.

Alloy manipulation is the process of restructuring or mana-weaving the composition of alloys to change or enhance their properties.

Reinforcement is infusing mana or using binding agents to enhance the resilience and performance of those alloys for crafting.

For the first class, I will explain how to form a manacite alloy with iron and manacite crystals. Pay attention carefully.

Lucan took out an iron ingot from beneath his desk alongside some glowing crystals. He began to compress the ingot with mana while putting the crystals on any part that had been compressed. It continued for 3 minutes before the teacher finally revealed a black glowing metal.

This is the manacite alloy, a very basic alloy used for crafting weapons for basic squad units of the Federation.

You all are required to form a manacite alloy following the way I made the previous one. Due to alloy manipulation being a relatively common thing, they all got in under 30 minutes.

You all did it perfectly, now is the time for reinforcement.

To reinforce your alloy, you just need to infuse it with mana until it is filled up. The higher the alloy grade, the more mana it can receive.

You should try reinforcing your alloys, Lucan said.

The students who were already having difficulty with flow became more frustrated when they saw that they were going to need flow to reinforce their alloys.

Don't rush it, it is obvious that most of you are still having difficulty with flow. You should first learn how to control your flow before you come back to reinforcing alloys, Lucan said.

As expected of a Vortan, he actually managed to reinforce his alloy so quickly, Lucan thought to himself.

This was easier than I expected, Lex thought to himself. He had not done any alloy manipulation or reinforcement before, as even the alloy for the sword he crafted was directly taken from the treasury.

The class continued, with them using various other metals to form alloys, with little reinforcement being done because of their low comprehension of mana flow.

The next class is on weapon design, make sure not to miss it. Lucan said to the students who were leaving the class.
