[Jouno Tsukami: What the… how did that happen?!]
I was really eager to know why he's with Lala last night. And he then types his answers on the chat.
[Saruyama Kenichi: I just accidentally saw Rito carrying Lala running on the roofs while on the way to his house, so I followed them… and the rest just happened like that.]
Turns out, his answer is more normal than I thought…
Well… not like that won't happen.
The multiverse contained many situations of the same setting, so the chance of Saruyama accidentally meeting the Rito couple at that time is really likely.
But I'm still curious about something…
[Jouno Tsukami: Wait… why do you call us here then?]
[Saruyama Kenichi: Just wanna make sure that this is the one you talked about. Also, I can't send the live stream to you only, so why not just call everyone instead?]
[Jouno Tsukami: Really?!]
I then immediately checked all the chat functions, and just he said, the private message one isn't here.
Well, that's a shame, but oh well…Gotta improvised with what we have.
Speaking of which, our main protagonist, the one with messy brown hair, has arrived.
"A, Rito!!"
"Lala?! Why are you here?!"
Lala approached Rito with a cheerful attitude, while Rito expressed his confusion at her appearance at the school.
"Here, you forgot this."
"Ah! My lunch?!"
Lala then gives the lunchbox out for Rito, as his eyes widen a bit in realization.
[Jouno Tsukami: I see… So she must've confessed to Lala instead of Haruno then.]
I slightly squinted my eyes at the realization, as the scene on the Saruyama side moved on with Lala hugging Rito full of affection, while he was trying to push her away from embarrassment.
Seeing the literal manga scenes happen right before my eyes without anime art-style… feels weird.
Nonetheless, this is still a new experience for me, and possibly some other members too.
"But why? I'm your fiance now, would it be more fitting to live at the husband's house?"
"B–But… I don't… have any room yet–"
"I can make my own room there, so can I stay at your place?"
After that, Lala convinced Rito to let her stay at his house and be "responsible", but he tried to refuse her with an awkward attitude.
At that moment, I realized yet another thing…
In the original, Lala provokes the whole school by admitting being Rito's fiance, which at the time isn't official yet, and in a desperate attempt to run away from everyone, he reluctantly accepts her request of staying at his place.
But now, with Saruyama (and partly my) intervention, Lala didn't get to make such a fuss, and so she doesn't have any way to convince Rito to let her stay at his place.
Shit… this will certainly make a problem.
[Aya Koda: This guy's… quite rude, isn't it?]
[Jouno Tsukami: … Yeah.]
Aya gives out her compliment on the current situation, and I'm… agree with her.
I mean, shouldn't he just explain the whole misunderstanding with Lala instead of coming up with reasons to refuse?
Probably the status of iconic manga did have its drawbacks…
"Rito, my guy, why don't let her stay at your place?"
Saruyama speaks up with a casual tone, attracting the attention of both parties.
"What?! Are you crazy Saruyama?!"
"Oh?"
Rito screams at Saruyama with a confused tone, while Lala just looks at him with a surprised look.
"Guh— I just think that why not let her have the chance? After all, based on what both of you were talking about, you confessed to her right?"
Saruyama flinching a bit at
"Well, yeah, but…"
"Then you must have responsibilities with this. If you can't take that then explain everything to her."
Saruyama explains it all with a straight voice, making Rito gasping in awe at his attitude. Also, for your record, I'm the one who told him about the confession.
"Ugh…"
Rito, probably feeling conflicted by Saru words, looking back at Lala with a complicated face.
"Well? What's your decision?"
Saruyama urges Rito again, and his face grows more anxious.
"Fine… you can live at my house…"
Finally, Rito declares defeat with an exhaustive expression, but Lala looks weird with his answer.
But then, she suddenly expressed her cheerful side again and hugged Rito real tight, making Rito uncomfortable.
"Lala?!"
"I'll be in your care then, Rito ~"
And with that, the first chaos has been avoided… without everyone's effort and knowledge.
[Jouno Tsukami: Guess that's it for now…]
[Saruyama Kenichi: For now?]
[Aya Koda: ?]
Well, time for the forbidden spoiler…
I then spoiled the whole story with Saruyama, although not much to tell since this story lean more in the slice of life style and is an ecchi rom-com, with details about important events in the future.
Not sure if the timeline stays consistent like the manga, since Saruyama quite literally breaks the script at this point, but in hindsight the knowledge would still be valuable.
Also, it would be important to keep Lala and Rito as close as possible, because of the existence of Gid Lucione Deviluke, the Emperor of the Milky Way.
Gid should know everything right now, due to the fact that the bodyguard has returned to inform Zastin about this earlier.
And with his personality portrayed in the manga, I bet that he's already made Rito his official successor.
But the most important thing, the one that makes Rito worried everyday during the first few chapters, is the stakes that most readers ignore as the story progresses…
He'll destroy the Earth if the engagement is somehow annulled by any means, and I doubt that he's just joking about such things.
In other words, the moment the guard retreated, Rito life's screwed. There's no savoring his life except by moving forward with the plot.
And Saruyama…
[Saruyama Kenichi: … Thank god I didn't do anything with her…]
[Jouno Tsukami: Yeah, your patience just saved your life.]
[Aya Koda: That's horrible…]
[Saruyama Kenichi: Can;t do anything about that anymore then. Guess I have to ball'ed with this thing…]
Even though he's still acting calmly, I can clearly see his worry in every bit of the letters. And honestly, I understand his feelings.
Like, who could've still beared a carefree attitude when your best friend is literally holding the Earth's existence right by his side (literally!)?!
With that, Saruyama ended his livestream, leaving me back to the group chat.
[Aya Koda: I kinda feel bad for him right now…]
[Jouno Tsukami: Yep, bet he's sweating bullets right now.]
That's pretty tragic in a sense, but that is the extent of my actions toward Saruyama.
It's not like I can come there and help him with anything though, so feeling bad for him is my only action…
Good luck, Sauryama. You're gonna need that, a lot.
[Jouno Tsukaima: Speaking of, what are you doing right now, Aya?]
And with his problem on the side, I switch my attention to Aya with a hint of curiosity.
Outside of the current arc and that one filler chapter, I don't really know Aya personal life
[Aya Koda: Me? I'm just taking the train right now…]
[Jouno Tsukima: Train? Today your day off?]
[Aya Koda: Yeah, It's still Sunday for me though, I was on my way back from the supermarket.]
Huh… supermarket? Didn't she still like, 5? Yet she's going out for groceries all by herself…
"Dude, not done with your breakfast yet? The break is almost over."
Kisame questioned me with a confused look, eyes sticking on my half-eaten sandwiches, and accidentally woke me up from the group chat.
Dang, I was too focused on the chat!
"Oh… sorry, I was just thinking about something."
I give him a poor reason then return back to the sandwich, as Kisame also returns to his phone watching a kitten short.
My daily school life just continues peacefully like that…
