"Chronicles of the Gate: The First Seal"

Entry Date: Unknown | Author: The Last Watcher

> "Before blood, before bone, before breath—there was the Gate."

Long before Jason was born, before Elias grew old, and even before the Anchors were forged, there existed a hidden order known as the Watchers of the Fold. These were not warriors or kings, but listeners—individuals born with the ability to hear the tremble of time.

They discovered the Bloodline Gate, not as a weapon, but as a balance—a divine lock between dimensions. Behind it lay something the world was never meant to see. Not demons. Not gods. Something far older.

The First Seal was placed by a Watcher named Myrren Vhal, who foresaw a time when blood would awaken power far too ancient to control.

> "The Gate is not evil," Myrren wrote. "But the greed of men will make it so."

The Anchor Rituals

To prevent the Bloodline Gate from opening, the Watchers forged Seven Anchors. Each Anchor was hidden in a region where reality bent thin:

1. The Hollow Sea – where memory flows instead of water

2. The Burning Roots – where fire remembers

3. The Sky Cavern – where gravity forgets

4. The Dead Library – where books write themselves

5. The Spiral Mire – where time loops

6. The Shaded Cross – where day and night are lies

7. The Mirror Grave – where only reflections live

Each Anchor required a Blood Oath, passed down to a single bloodline—a guardian family, chosen and cursed.

Jason's family.

Jason's Father – The Broken Oath

Years ago, Jason's father discovered the truth. As a young man, he was brought to the third Anchor. He refused the final step—the sealing of his son's destiny. In doing so, he broke the Watcher's pact.

But he wasn't alone. Another, a traitor Watcher named Kael the Hollow, sought to open the Gate. Not to rule, but to rewrite reality itself.

Jason's father fought him. The battle tore through the Fold, destroying the location of the fifth Anchor.

The Prophecy Fragment

In a cracked Watcher's codex, a line appears, burned into the page:

> "When the child of severed blood walks the Hollow Sea, the Gate shall whisper. And if he listens, the world shall unwrite itself."

Jason has already walked the Hollow Sea.

He has already listened.

Whispers from the Gate

In recent weeks, more Gate echoes have been recorded:

"Balance was broken. Balance must bleed."

"He is not the key. He is the lock."

"There are not seven Anchors anymore."

What does that mean?

Are one or more of the Anchors destroyed?

If so, the seals are weakening faster than the prophecy foretold.

Final Notes from the Watcher Archive

This volume ends with a sketch—faded and torn—of a boy with glowing eyes standing before a gate of thorns and fire. The caption beneath reads:

> "The last heir. The bleeding hour. The Gatekeeper who never chose."
