The Anchors are not places. They are fractures in the world, held together by ancient seals crafted from sacrifice, shadow, and spirit. Their names are not spoken, only sensed. And each one binds a part of The Gate—not to protect the world, but to hide its truth.

1. The Sky Cavern (Anchor of Sight)
Hidden above the Hollow Sea, accessible only during a double eclipse.
Guarded by a blind Watcher with no face.
It shows the future—but only to those who never live to reach it.
2. The Black Orchard (Anchor of Memory)
Grows behind the ruins of the Mistvale School.
Trees bear fruits of forgotten names.
Anyone who eats from it remembers a life they never lived.
3. The Spiral Mire (Anchor of Echo)
Found below the Weeping Caves.
A swamp where every sound is repeated in reverse.
The echo speaks truths the speaker doesn't yet know.
4. The Mirror Grave (Anchor of Identity)
Located in the Valley of Graves, masked under thousands of tombstones.
Inside lies your perfect double—silent, waiting.
If you see it blink, the seal is weakening.
5. The Frozen Vein (Anchor of Time)
Lies beneath the glacial veins of the Northridge Cracks.
Freezes memories and stretches moments.
Watchers here count backward to stay alive.
6. The Hollow Sea (Anchor of Emotion)
Appears only under full moon tides.
The water doesn't reflect the moon—it reflects what you hide.
Those who walk in return with faces not their own.
7. The Folded Gate (Anchor of Will)
Buried at the edge of reality—Jason's final destination.
Not a place. A choice. A test.
If you reach it, you've already failed—or you've never existed.

II. Elias – The Watcher Who Turned
Elias wasn't always a hermit.
He was once called High Seer of the Third Fold, a young prodigy of the Watchers—the order sworn to seal the Anchors and maintain the illusion of balance. At age 13, Elias opened the Black Orchard and survived. At 17, he stitched time shut in the Frozen Vein using only his heartbeat as a tool.
But it was in the Mirror Grave that Elias changed.
He saw his reflection blink.
"I was never alone," he wrote. "Something has been walking beside me. Wearing my memories. Learning my voice. And it waited—for me to see it."
After that, Elias began asking questions. Dangerous questions. Who made the Anchors? Why were only bloodlines of the Gate chosen? What was the Gate?
He found no answers. Only shadows that whispered threats.
So Elias ran. He broke his oaths, took the forbidden Book of Whispers, and vanished into the forest now known as the Shaded Drown.
He still calls himself a Watcher. But now, he watches the Watchers.

III. The Watcher War
The Watcher War was never recorded in public history. Because the war wasn't of nations—it was of realities.
It began when the 6th Anchor, the Hollow Sea, cracked. The ocean began to weep images from other timelines—Jason's father dying as a boy, the Gate already open, worlds consumed in Foldlight.
Some Watchers wanted to reset the Anchors. Others—led by Kael—wanted to let the Gate open.
A schism formed. Watchers turned on Watchers. They fought in places people would never see—in dreams, in false forests, inside echoes, and behind mirrors.
Elias led the resistance, breaking their own rules to protect what they swore to control. He lost many allies. One of them was Alric Vale—Jason's father.
That's why Jason's birth was hidden.
He is the product of broken anchors and a shattered war.

IV. The Book of Whispers
Bound in silence and sealed in the Dead Library, this book cannot be opened by hands alone. It requires:
A forgotten name
Blood from an Anchor-touched soul
A whisper spoken backward
The book speaks truths. But not gently.

The Book is dangerous because it knows what the characters do not. It has whispered in Jason's dreams. It has spoken to Elias in the forest. And it waits—for someone brave or broken enough to ask it a final question:
"What happens if the Gate opens?"
And the Book will answer:
"You already did."
