Chapter 28 - It's not Beautiful

Camella glanced at Carlotta and deliberately brought up some difficulties in the cultivation of the Elven Knight Path, hoping to stump her.

Although she had lost to Carlotta in the duel last night, and even lost a high-quality alchemical tool, the Rose Cross, it was because her rank had been suppressed to that of a second-tier apprentice.

Camella, born into a noble family, possessed resources that ordinary people could hardly imagine, and her true rank was far higher than Carlotta's.

Although she mainly focused on card magic and had little knowledge of Elven Knight Path, she believed that what she knew was still more than Carlotta's, having been exposed to it in her family.

"Haha, Miss Ackerman, this point is actually quite simple, let me tell you..." Carlotta wasn't angry at Camella's deliberate attempts to challenge her because she really didn't feel any difficulty.

No matter what questions Camella raised, she could find the answers in an instant.

After several attempts, Camella's expression couldn't help but change.

Amelia, holding a cup of black tea, took a sip and then said, "Camella, if you have any questions about Elven Knight Path, asking Miss White is indeed the right choice. Even I have learned a lot from her when discussing Elven Knight Path."

Camella was her cousin, and she didn't want any conflict between Camella and Carlotta.

She thought it would be great if they could change their relationship through discussions about Elven Knight Path.

But when Camella heard Amelia's words, she felt a bit uncomfortable. She had intended to challenge Carlotta, but now it seemed like she was the one seeking advice from Carlotta.

She immediately stopped talking and sat on the sofa, eating desserts and drinking tea.

The desserts and tea were provided for free by the host of the gathering, Mrs. Thea Ashfield.

This lady was the alchemy master Thea Ashfield in Carlotta's memory!

Carlotta only found out at the gathering that this alchemy master was the host of the Elf Knight Gathering.

Although her main focus was on alchemy, she had also cultivated Elven Knight Path and had considerable achievements.

There are three paths to the transcendent: magic, knight, and alchemy.

But alchemy is different from the first two, as it doesn't condense runes within the body, so it doesn't conflict with the paths of magic or knight. Those who follow the path of alchemy can also practice magic or knight skills.

Gradually, it was noon.

There were dozens of people scattered around the hall. When the clock on the wall pointed to eleven, the host, Mrs. Thea Ashfield, finally came down from upstairs.

"Welcome to the Elf Knight Gathering."

Thea was a tall lady, wearing a long purple dress that matched her purple hair. She swayed as she walked, exuding a mature charm, her eyes as deep as the starry sky.

Her arrival silenced the room, and many looked at Thea with respect.

In the path of alchemy, Thea had indeed gone far, achieving many remarkable accomplishments and gaining great fame throughout the Wendell Empire. Among the people present, no one could match Thea's status or achievements.

She was someone who disdained ordinary alchemical tools and would throw them directly into the trash.

Carlotta looked at this lady who had once benefited her, her expression slightly complex.

Thea announced the start of the Elf Knight Gathering with a smile.

In previous Elf Knight Gatherings, the first event was for individuals to stand up and present the problems they had accumulated over time, seeking help from others, a process of mutual assistance.

This time was no exception.

As Thea finished speaking, a mature lady immediately stood up and said, "I still have some questions about the ninth movement of the Elven Sunset."

The ninth movement of the Twelve Echoes of Elven Steel was still quite distant for Carlotta.

This lady was named Clorinde Austin, from the Austin Chamber of Commerce, one of the six major chambers of commerce in the capital, with extremely substantial assets.

She had other ways to solve her problems, but since there was an Elf Knight Gathering, she kept her questions for this event.

Clorinde Austin slowly explained her confusion, saying that every time she performed the Elven Sunset, the scene that appeared was different from others, and the aesthetic quality was reduced.

There was no impact on the power, but the visual appeal was diminished.

For Clorinde, this was even more troubling than a reduction in power. After all, these ladies learned Elven Knight Path for their beauty.

After she finished her questions, she asked, "Who can tell me where the problem lies?"

In the hall, everyone looked at each other, unable to figure out Clorinde's situation.

After all, this involved the ninth movement of the Elven Sunset, and few ladies present had reached that level.

Clorinde looked expectantly at Thea. She didn't expect others to solve her problem, but if it was Thea, perhaps she could.

Unlike others who practiced Elven Knight Path as a secondary focus, Thea practiced both, which was almost the same as a primary focus.

Seeing Clorinde look at her, Thea had to ask a few questions to understand Clorinde's situation.

She even went to Clorinde's side to have her perform the Elven Sunset, so she could observe closely and make a judgment.

After a while, Thea pondered and said, "Your Elven Sunset has no issues with power."

"But it's not as beautiful," Clorinde quickly added.

"External issues... I don't know," Thea shook her head.

Clorinde was a bit anxious when she found out that even Thea couldn't solve her problem.

Amelia whispered to Carlotta, "Miss White, do you know what's going on?"

Carlotta didn't know, but she silently called up the information panel that only she could see, checking the information on Elven Knight Path. Soon, she found the answer.

She whispered, "It's a habit of manipulating magical power. In the performance of the Elven Sunset, the magical power needs to undergo thirty-three vibrations.

As long as these vibrations are completed, the power won't be affected.

But if there's no interval between the thirty-three vibrations, it will affect the final scene.

Normally, when a Transcendent being performs the Elven Sunset, they instinctively follow this vibration rhythm. But Mrs. Clorinde might be impatient, and her instinct makes her complete the thirty-three vibrations in one go, causing this issue."
