Lei Ye's expression dimmed when Chen Xiaoxiao didn't take the notebook right away. A wave of embarrassment and regret swept over her as she remembered how she had mocked Chen Xiaoxiao earlier. Now she was worried that Chen Xiaoxiao wouldn't forgive her.
"You know me?"
Chen Xiaoxiao raised an eyebrow, confused by the about-face.
"I—I've heard of you! You're amazing! The youngest Elite Trainer in the league! You're like a role model for girls everywhere! Please... could you sign it for me?"
Lei Ye wanted to say "I know you," but given that she hadn't recognized Chen Xiaoxiao earlier, she downgraded it to "heard of you" and asked again with hopeful eyes.

"Ah! It's Plusle and Minun!"
Chen Xiaoxiao chuckled in delight.
Weren't these the classic Cheering Pokémon listed in the Pokédex? Known for their ability to support teammates with Helping Hand and generate electric cheers during tag battles? In Contest Halls, they were like the MVPs of the cheerleading squad, yelling "Six! Six! Six!" like pro hypemen.
It would actually be hilarious to send them both into battle just to cheer on others shouting 666.
"Hey Plusle, Minun! Want a snack?"
Chen Xiaoxiao pulled out a pair of high-quality energy cubes, specifically crafted for Electric-types. Her heart softened at the sight of the cute duo.
The moment she addressed them, the two Pokémon quickly ducked back behind the tree, clearly shy.
But hearing the word "snack," Plusle peeked its head out again and looked at her warily.
Its eyes locked onto the energy cube in her hand its face filled with longing.
"Come on~ I've got your favorite."
Chen Xiaoxiao smiled and beckoned to the hesitant Plusle.
After a short internal struggle, Plusle finally couldn't resist the cube's sweet aroma. It tiptoed toward her, took the treat cautiously, sniffed it, and then let out an excited cry before plopping down to eat.
Minun, meanwhile, remained behind the tree, too timid to approach. Even after watching Plusle happily munching away, it only meowed softly and stayed hidden.
"Minun, come on! Look Plusle's already eating!"
Chen Xiaoxiao waved another cube toward the bashful Minun, who poked out its head and then immediately ducked back again.
"Hey, Plusle! Don't you want your buddy to join you?"
Chen Xiaoxiao turned to the cheerful Plusle, who looked up mid-bite and blinked—almost as if realizing it forgot its best friend.
With a few animated squeaks, it called out excitedly.
Minun peeked again, made eye contact with Plusle, and mewed back nervously.
After a brief back-and-forth, Plusle chirped something that could only mean: "It's delicious!"
Unable to hold back any longer, Minun finally dashed forward with a bright smile and snatched the cube from Chen Xiaoxiao's hand, squealing with joy.
"Hee hee... so cute."
Chen Xiaoxiao's eyes softened as she watched them eat side by side.
But her practical side returned.
Sigh. Unfortunately, Plusle and Minun's base stats or species strength were low.
At just over 405, they barely broke the elite threshold. Talent-wise, they were decent, but not extraordinary. Not quite enough to meet her personal battle standards.
Their total stats were even lower than Ash's Pikachu, and that Pikachu had ridiculous plot armor on top of a strong bond boost.
Chen Xiaoxiao shook her head slightly.
I'm still on the road. I don't have time to raise cute pets that can't grow with me.
Even if she captured them, they'd likely end up sitting on the bench forever—left behind in storage, unused, lonely.
Is catching them just for the fun of hearing them yell "666"?
