Chapter 203 - Chapter 203-39: Dismantling the Buster Call One after Another...

The Vice Admirals dispatched to carry out this Buster Call are…

Momonga, Yamakaji, Doberman, Onigumo, and Strawberry!

Each one is a top‑tier Vice Admiral—pillars of Marine Headquarters.

Power of this caliber can overawe an entire region of the Grand Line on its own. And now there are five of them—all at once—for a single Buster Call.

They are backed by ten of Marine HQ's strongest battleships and nearly ten thousand sailors.

Such force is more than enough to erase an entire nation; a small city like Water 7 would be helpless before it.

Once a Buster Call is issued, it can only be stopped by the Fleet Admiral or one of the three Admirals themselves.

Even the presence of innocent Marines or civilians will not halt the order—the Vice Admirals are merely executing their duty.

Yet now…

Chiyu suddenly appears high in the heavens.

With raging lightning he shatters every salvo of artillery in an instant.

RUMBLE—

BOOOM!!!

Lightning floods the sky like divine judgment, blasting countless shells to pieces. Explosions bloom over Water 7's night sky like dazzling fireworks.

"W‑What is that?!"

All five Vice Admirals are stunned.

Doberman and Onigumo, the two most familiar with Chiyu, recognize him at once.

"T‑That man is… Vice Admiral Uchiha Chiyu?!"

They have tracked him since the East Blue and know his face well, yet even they are unaware he has gained the Goro Goro no Mi (Rumble‑Rumble Fruit).

Only Admiral Aokiji (Kuzan) knows, and he is not one to spread rumors.

Shocked, Doberman steps to the bow and roars:

"Vice Admiral Uchiha Chiyu!

What are you doing?!"

Chiyu's voice—cold, god‑like—answers:

"Stopping the Buster Call."

The Vice Admirals gape.

"W‑What did you say?!"

"That's impossible and a grave breach of Marine regulations!" Onigumo shouts.

"Do you intend to face judgment from the entire Navy and the World Government?!"

Chiyu replies calmly:

"So what if I do?"

All five fall speechless. They had heard of his arrogance, but witnessing it is terrifying.

He plans to challenge an entire Buster Call alone—and, while still a Vice Admiral, set himself against the Navy and the World Government? Is he insane?

Momonga, less acquainted with Chiyu but aware of his feats, speaks gravely:

"Vice Admiral Uchiha Chiyu, I respect your resolve, but a Buster Call is authorized directly by the World Government. To stop it is to make yourself the enemy of the world!

Are you certain?"

Chiyu asks in return:

"Then tell me—who is your enemy here?

Is there anyone in Water 7 you need to fight?"

The five Vice Admirals look at one another. They do not actually know.

A Buster Call is a top‑secret order; lower‑ranking Marines are never told the real reason—just as at Ohara.

Doberman answers:

"We don't know Water 7's secret, but we are soldiers. Our first duty is to obey orders—and that includes you, Vice Admiral Chiyu!"

Chiyu's tone is icy:

"Water 7 holds only civilians.

What you are bombarding is their homeland—nothing else."

Again, silence.

Yamakaji mutters:

"Even if you're right, we lack the authority to stop. Duty binds us.

Vice Admiral Chiyu, stand aside—or this will mean war."

Chiyu laughs softly.

"War?

With you lot? You're not qualified."

The five Vice Admirals exchange grim looks and steel themselves.

"No choice—attack!"

"Open fire!"

"Fire!!"

All ten battleships unleash another meteor storm of shells toward Water 7.

Chiyu does not hesitate. From the night sky he rules heaven, earth, and sea like a god of thunder.

Before the shells can land, lightning smashes and detonates them into a spray of fireworks.

"D‑Damn… is he really insane?!"

"He means to fight a Buster Call single‑handed?!"

Strawberry roars in fury.

"The madman… is you."

Chiyu's body becomes a bolt of lightning and crashes onto Strawberry's battleship.

BOOOOM!

The deck is obliterated; the ship lurches, cannons tilt, Marines stumble and fall.

The vessel slowly keels over, then plunges toward the sea.

Everyone—Strawberry, the other Vice Admirals, and the Marines and civilians on the Uchiha‑class ship—stares in shock.

"One strike destroyed one of HQ's strongest battleships?!"

"What power is that?!"

Strawberry, having dodged with Observation Haki, still watches his ship sink; his men leap into the sea, screams echoing.

"Uchiha Chiyu, are you betraying the Navy?!"

Chiyu speaks a single chilling line:

"First ship."

Faces blanch.

"What is he planning?!"

"Stop him!"

All five Vice Admirals launch Rokushiki techniques together—sword slashes, secret moves, and a hail of bullets surge like a raging sea.

But Chiyu's lightning body evades effortlessly.

"He really has the Rumble‑Rumble Fruit!"

"Normal attacks are useless—use Armament Haki!"

Coating fists, blades, and wrists in Busoshoku Haki, they strike again.

Chiyu smirks, blending Rokushiki with lightning:

"Rankyaku—Thunder Dragon!"

RUMBLE—

A lightning‑wreathed blade wave becomes a roaring thunder dragon, splitting toward all five.

Despite Haki‑coated defenses—blackened blades, Tekkai, Kami‑e—the result is the same:

BANG‑BANG‑BANG—BOOM!

All five are blasted back, coughing blood, muscles numb, bodies slashed. Though caught by subordinates, they are badly hurt.

"How can this be?

One blow crippled five Vice Admirals?!"

"Is that man a demon?!"

Momonga, least wounded, wipes blood from his lip.

"Vice Admiral Chiyu, do you truly understand the consequences?!"

His answer is another bolt of lightning—Divine Judgment—that splits a second battleship in half.

Marines dive into the sea; chaos reigns.

"Second ship."

Two ships sunk, five Vice Admirals injured—everyone falters. Retreat is disobedience; staying courts destruction. They pant, at a loss.

Just then…

Riiing.

A Den‑Den‑Mushi rings. Onigumo snatches it up.

A lazy voice speaks:

"It's me."

Relief floods Onigumo; he shouts:

"Admiral Aokiji!"
