"Alpha Magnus, Luna Seraphina " a guard called frantically.
"Why'd you sound like you're being chased by a ghost," Alpha Magnus retorted, staring at the frantic guard.
"What happened?" Luna Seraphina asked, stepping forward.
"The maid, that…"
"The maid that what!?" Luna Seraphina cut in impatiently.
"She's not in the dungeon anymore," he replied, panting heavily.
"How's that possible, how did she manage to get out of the dungeon," Alpha Magnus retorted.
"What did he say happened?" Caden cut in from behind.
"The maid has escaped from the dungeon," Luna Seraphina explained.
"How the did that happen!" Caden barked, his nerves popping angrily.
The guard shifted nervously, sweat beading on his forehead. "We—we don't know. The cell was still locked. No signs of force. It's like she just vanished."
Alpha Magnus's eyes darkened. "That dungeon is lined with wolfsbane and silver. No one just vanishes from there."
Luna Seraphina's expression hardened. "Unless someone let her out."
