Chapter 79 - III:The Code of the Wailing Wall

When the moonlight was refracted into a spiral halo by the mucus on the surface of the stone tablet, Alyssa's canine teeth were biting the tip of the nose of the third crying human face. The blue blood seeping from the cracks of the stone tablet covered half of her face, and the green light mixed with the flame of the lunar eclipse burned two dark blue holes in her pupils.

"Save your energy," Cain's black iron scepter was against her lower back, "how can you bear the resentment if you burn it all." The thorny vines that emerged from the lord's black robe were moving along the stone tablet, absorbing the black mist forced out by the flames.

Alyssa's thorn birthmark twitched under her shoulder blade. When she injected the flame into the pupil of the stone tablet, the mouth of the human face suddenly expanded into a black hole, spitting out the silver wolf's war cry from three hundred years ago. The sound waves shattered the moss on the rock wall, revealing the formation diagram drawn with fetal blood below - it was a three-dimensional version of the carvings on the bedposts of Kane's bedroom.

"Have you seen enough?" Lucien's cold emerald light seeped out from the crack in the ground. Alyssa swung out the taming whip while flipping sideways, and the silver spike at the whip tip pierced into the crack in the rock and pulled out half of the inscribed stone slab - the scorch marks on the edge completely matched the burn marks on the silver ring left by her mother.

The group of stone tablets suddenly shifted. Cain's thorny vines were bounced off by the energy of the formation, leaving bloody whip marks on the rock wall. Alyssa took the opportunity to pour the flame of the lunar eclipse into the ear holes of the seventh stone tablet, and the flame burned into the core of the earth vein along the tear duct of the crying human face. The whole cave suddenly came alive, the stalagmites turned into the skeleton of an upside-down silver wolf, and the ground oozed pus and blood mixed with milk teeth.

"Beautiful!" Lucian's hook pierced through the stalactites and swung into the air, "If the fire burns more fiercely, we'll be able to see the first king's excrement and piss pot!" His emerald ring emitted a green light, illuminating the rock wall behind Alyssa, revealing a mural of a mother giving birth - the same howling stone tablets stood around the delivery bed, each embedded with the skull of a silver wolf cub.

Kane's scepter slammed into the ground. Black thorns burned back along the path of Alyssa's flames, wrapping the three stone tablets into a thorny cocoon. When the cocoon broke, what gushed out was not resentment but fragments of the first king's memory - the man wearing a crown was pressing the twin babies into the sacrificial blood pool.

"Stop!" Alyssa's birthmark suddenly grew, and vines crawled all over her right arm. The flames of the lunar eclipse swept across the cave ceiling uncontrollably, burning the disguised stone shell, revealing three hundred silver wolf hearts embedded in the dome - each one was beating in sync, and the surface was engraved with the same runes as her birthmark.

Lucien's wild laughter echoed in the cave. When Alyssa's flames swept across the heart array, the organs suddenly opened their red eyes, and in their pupils they saw Kane's torn clothes, and the thorn heart was vibrating in resonance with the core of the array.

"This is the real thing." The lord's voice was filled with excitement. Alyssa's taming whip caught the falling stalactites and smashed them into the center of the formation, but the flying debris condensed into miniature crying human faces in mid-air. When she was forced to burn these stone statues with the flames of the lunar eclipse, the flame energy was transformed by the formation and flowed back to Cain's thorn heart along the earth veins.

The stone tablets began to sink. Alyssa seized the last opportunity and pressed her mother's silver ring on the navel of the core stone tablet. The decryption rune engraved on the ring suddenly came to life, blue blood flowed back along the rune grooves, and the entire Weeping Wall formation let out a howl like a dying beast.

As the moonlight shifted through the cracks in the cave, Alyssa saw her mother's handwriting emerge on the surface of the purified stone tablet - a warning written in blood from the delivery room: the twin bloodline is the key to the Wailing Wall. When she tried to copy these words, Kane's thorny vines suddenly entangled her wrists and tore the copy to pieces.

"I haven't finished the game yet." Lucien's claw pierced her shoulder, and he dipped his blood into the rock face to draw a crooked marriage totem. Alyssa's birthmark began to absorb the remaining energy of the formation, and the vine patterns under her skin spelled out the complete twin sacrifice process.

The roar of chains breaking came from deep in the earth veins. The purified stone tablet suddenly oozed silver-blue mucus, which condensed into the reflection of Alyssa on the ground of the cave - the shadow wore a crown of thorns and stepped on the broken bodies of Cain and Lucien. When the moonlight was completely polluted into cyan, the base of the last stone tablet exploded, revealing a baby swaddling cloth soaked in blood - embroidered with the initials of her mother's name.
