10:00 A.M. – Westview Middle School, Front Courtyard
The school grounds were still in chaos. Emergency alarms had finally gone silent, but the buzzing panic lingered in the air like smoke after a fire. Students milled around nervously, teachers barking roll calls.
But a few… weren't thinking about order.
They were thinking about Leo Foster.
And the man who tore through their ceiling.
Jeasus adjusted his glasses—again.
They always slid down his nose when he was nervous, and today, they hadn't stayed still once.
He frowned, his mind running loops.
"Why did Leo follow that man who emits light?"
He looked around at their shaken classmates.
Nobody had an answer.
But he remembered.
—A few minutes before the incident…
"Leo, where are you going?" Jeasus had asked, gripping his friend's sleeve.
Leo, eyes locked on the golden blur of Solarius, had only said:
"My instinct told me to follow him."
Then he ran.
Straight into danger.
