Bob's ordinary appearance actually made Yelena and the others more afraid. In the midst of the chaos, he wasn't noticed. Who was he?
Kurohane was happy instead. "Sealing your own memories? Interesting!" He knew Bob wasn't lying; he really couldn't remember. Kurohane wasn't very familiar with the Sentry in the comics, only knew he was Superman's equal with the power of a million exploding stars.
"Did you really forget, or did you choose to close your heart?"
"I don't know, but I feel that medical experiment was not a good thing for me!" Bob said, his hands trembling.
"Do you have a history of substance abuse? Or violent tendencies?"
"I remember getting drunk once and working at a fried chicken shop, then beating people with a signboard."
"Makes sense. You should go to DC and become a supervillain. Marvel isn't enough for you to cause trouble!" Kurohane sighed. Bob's attributes had a strong Gotham vibe.
Yelena whispered, "Mr. Kurohane..."
"Just call me Kurohane. I'm good friends with Natasha, so no need to be so formal." He wasn't lying. Kurohane had seen Natasha in a bikini.
"So... this Bob, a product of the Sentinel Project?"
"You know about the Sentinel Project?"
"I saw this on a table." Yelena took out a few sheets of paper. "But it says, all test subjects failed and died. Why is he still alive?"
"Idiot. If the experiment failed, why is he still alive?" Kurohane replied.
Yelena: Dammit.
Kurohane pulled Yelena aside. "The experiment was a success. Bob has more power than any Avenger. Now, this is up to you!"
"To me?"
"The biggest reason Natasha had a place on the Avengers wasn't because of her combat skills, but because she could control the Hulk. If you can be good friends with Bob and make him use his power correctly, you'll be a very necessary superhero in the new Avengers!"
Kurohane patted Yelena's shoulder. "I told you, don't let your life become cheap. Don't let people manipulate you. You think doing dirty work is pursuing success? Think about Natasha, she faced Congress and the Secretary of State head-on because the world needed the Avengers. She was an irreplaceable member."
Kurohane's words made Ava and Walker ponder. They also did dirty work, and they would be thrown away once Valentina no longer needed them. Walker felt he was not much different from Steve, but he didn't have the qualifications to inherit the vibranium shield.
"You probably don't know what Natasha did back then," Kurohane continued. "Tony Stark was psychologically evaluated by Natasha. Captain America successfully destroyed Hydra with Natasha's help. Not to mention the Hulk; only Natasha could calm him down. If you want to be a Natasha, you have to do the same thing!"
Kurohane looked at the timer on the wall. A two-minute countdown appeared, then an alarm sounded and a red light came on.
"I'm very optimistic about your team. As long as you can be the Avengers, you can get everything you want! Status, honor, dignity, money... everything! Now, this is your first mission: escape in two minutes!"
After Kurohane spoke, his body slowly blurred. He returned to his Heaven Dimension. The four people left behind looked at each other, then panicked!
"Yelena! Who was that guy you knew?! Why didn't he take us with him?!"
"I only met him once! Dammit! The door is locked! It takes three minutes to hack it!"
"Bob! Don't you have superpowers?! Hurry up and open this door!"
"This one!"
"Ghost, go out and open the door! Kurohane already destroyed the sonic weapon!"
"Don't give me orders!"
