A violet figure floated high above the sea, suspended in midair. She gazed down coldly at the vast expanse of the Sun Moon Empire's grand naval fleet below her slender, perfect legs, her stunning face twisted into a furious snarl.
Seeing that humanity had dared invade so deeply into the ocean, the Empress of the Demonic Deep Sea Whales—once a million-year-old soul beast—glared with eyes wide open, her body surrounded by terrifying purple flames.
Without even consciously releasing her soul power, the sheer fury surging from her soul core caused a violent reaction with the surrounding air. The energy bursting forth even distorted the space around her.
Taking a deep breath to calm her rage, the Empress's gaze turned ice-cold. Slowly, she lifted one hand and pointed directly at the densely packed fleet of warships below. A deep purple energy sphere rapidly formed at her fingertip.
"Die. All of you," she said through gritted teeth.
Without intervention, and if not for the soul tool linked defensive shield, this energy sphere—containing the full strike of an extreme Douluo—would instantly annihilate the entire navy fleet. Right now, soul tool technology alone could not possibly defend against the full might of an extreme expert.
But just as the deep purple orb was about to descend—at the very instant godlike might threatened to fall—the world froze.
The Empress's expression stiffened. In that moment, she realized her entire body was plunged into an unbearable coldness, unable to move. Stranger still, the energy sphere at her fingertip, already ready to unleash, also froze in place, stuck as if sealed in ice.
From her perspective, it felt as though time itself had stopped, leaving her with nothing but the ability to think.
Very quickly, she understood: this had to be the handiwork of another extreme powerhouse—someone on the same level as herself.
She didn't feel fear. Instead, deep within, she let out a cold snort. 'Impressive trick. But to dare venture so deeply into the ocean... you humans must think you're invincible.'
Suddenly, the demonic purple light in her eyes surged forth, shattering the frozen domain binding her in an instant.
Time flowed once again. Casually, she waved her hand and dispersed the purple energy sphere. Then she spoke aloud, her voice calm yet laced with cold disdain.
"Come out. Let me see what kind of opponent you are, to dare freeze time in front of me."
Her voice echoed through heaven and earth, spreading so far that even the navy officers aboard the fleet's many warships heard her words clearly. On every steel deck, the soldiers gazed upward with solemn or fearful faces, searching the seemingly empty blue skies.
"Can you locate the enemy's position?"
Inside the flagship's command room, Admiral Shi Dongsheng asked gravely.
All around him, naval operators frantically worked at their various detection soul tools. Hearing the commander's voice, the observers responded one after another.
"Reporting! High-altitude soul power detectors show no abnormal reactions yet!"
"Soul tool radar detects a target above the fleet on a horizontal plane, but vertical positioning is unknown!"
"Thermal imaging detectors have no response!"
Shi Dongsheng's frown deepened. Despite the enemy's overwhelming presence hanging above them, their most advanced soul tools could not even pinpoint her precise location. That kind of helplessness in the face of a supreme being severely dampened the soldiers' morale.
He clenched his fists. 'No. I won't allow the General Architect's words to lose credibility here. We believe in the rise of soul tool technology. We must believe!'
Just then, a voice cried out.
"Reporting, Admiral! High-altitude optical detectors have captured an image!"
Shi Dongsheng immediately rushed to the operator's side, focusing on the display.
On the screen, a projection appeared: a lithe, seductive female figure, her naked skin patterned with terrifying dark violet runes. Even through the monitor, her demonic beauty and suffocating aura could be felt.
Seeing this, Shi Dongsheng's eyes lit up slightly.
"Excellent! Transmit this image across the fleet. Let our soldiers see clearly what our enemy looks like! And make sure it's a real-time transmission. Show them that our great General Architect and our guardian, Snow Empress, are about to fight this so-called terrifying foe!"
"Yes, sir!"
Hidden within the clouds, Snow Empress narrowed her eyes as she observed the Demonic Empress below.
'So she could break my frozen time domain so easily...' she thought, calm but not pleased.
By freezing the moisture in the air, Snow Empress had perfectly concealed herself, leaving no trace behind. That was why the Empress hadn't located her yet.
But Snow Empress knew the time for stealth was over. She needed to step forward and confront this pressure directly.
Without hesitation, Snow Empress revealed herself, her figure as pure and dazzling as freshly fallen snow.
In the Demonic Empress's astonished gaze, a noble, snowy-white figure emerged.
"Leave now, and this Empress shall spare your life," Snow Empress said coolly, her voice resounding across heaven and earth, letting every soldier below hear it clearly.
"That... that's our Snow Empress?"
"She's... she's beautiful..."
"Our Sun Moon Empire's guardian goddess!"
On every ship's monitors, the navy soldiers watched the confrontation. They saw the terrifying Empress, but they also saw the Snow Empress standing tall against the threat, proud and unwavering, like an Ice Queen descended from the heavens.
At this moment, Snow Empress's image imprinted itself into the hearts of every soldier. She became a symbol of protection, a living legend standing between them and annihilation.
As Huo Yuhao's influence grew day by day, so too did Snow Empress's symbolic status—as the Sun Moon Empire's Guardian Deity.
"Hmph!"
The Demonic Empress sneered, staring at Snow Empress with disdain.
"You think a few tricks make you worthy of standing against me? Fine. Let's see if you can make me fall!"
The instant her words fell, the atmosphere between the two turned tense, as if even the skies might crack.
Thus, the battle between two of the most terrifying soul beasts of the modern world was about to begin.
