"The three years are up."
In the Sun Moon Empire, within the capital Mingdu, inside the Transmission Hall's headquarters, Huo Yuhao stood by the window of his grand office, gazing into the distance at the majestic imperial palace.
Over the past three years, Transmission Hall, under his leadership, had grown rapidly. Now, it was one of the most powerful organizations on the entire continent. No one dared to underestimate it.
After all, the advantages that spirit contracts brought to soul masters were just too great. Transmission Hall, being the only organization that had formed a formal partnership with the Great Star Dou Forest, and monopolized the method of signing spirit soul contracts, held enormous prestige.
It wasn't an exaggeration to say: the Sun Moon Empire's ability to steadily conquer the Douluo Three Kingdoms owed a huge debt to Transmission Hall.
Huo Yuhao had personally invited every medium and large sect across the three kingdoms to join the "Soul Master and Spirit Beast Symbiosis Alliance" led by Transmission Hall. Joining the alliance meant providing various resources to the Hall, but in return, the sects gained access to spirit souls directly supplied by the Star Dou Forest.
Simply put, Huo Yuhao had turned spirit souls into the most valuable currency of the continent.
Now, the vast majority of sects had either accepted or actively supported the Sun Moon Empire and Transmission Hall.
With the common people's allegiance shifting as well, the Douluo Continent was on the verge of being renamed—the Sun Moon Continent.
Huo Yuhao turned from the window, picked up a bottle of rare wine from his desk, and casually poured himself a glass.
Swirling the crimson liquid in the cup, he settled back into his luxurious chair, savoring a sip with great satisfaction.
"Not bad," he smirked. "Wine aged for a thousand years by the Clear Sky Sect really is something special."
Thinking back over the past three years, Huo Yuhao's eyes grew colder.
One particular event stood out—a minor incident that had left a lasting impression.
Under Tang San's secret orders, the Azure Bull Python and the Titan Giant Ape had attempted to kidnap Huo Yuhao's closest companion: Meng Hongchen.
Their plan, naturally, had failed spectacularly.
Given Huo Yuhao's rising fame and power, how could he possibly leave Meng Hongchen vulnerable? He had long given her a special ring linked to the undead half-plane, allowing instant emergency teleportation.
When the kidnapping attempt was made, the ring activated. Within seconds, the Snow Empress herself appeared and subdued the two ancient soul beasts with ease.
According to the Snow Empress, the two legendary brothers had been utterly powerless before her—mere weaklings.
Upon hearing about it, Huo Yuhao's rage exploded. He didn't even need to guess—Tang San must have been behind it.
But rather than blind fury, Huo Yuhao saw opportunity.
Now he had the perfect justification to deal a devastating blow to the Clear Sky Sect.
Thanks to a heartfelt plea from Wang Dong of Shrek Academy, Huo Yuhao had shown "mercy." Rather than annihilating the entire sect, he merely looted their centuries-old treasure stores... and smashed their treasured Sea God statue into rubble.
Meanwhile, Tang San, trapped in the God Realm, could only seethe helplessly.
And the worst part? His meddling had backfired disastrously.
Huo Yuhao, having already unlocked several seals of Life and Destruction, was now rapidly approaching the inheritance of the Creation God Position. Neither the Goddess of Life nor the God of Destruction would tolerate any interference from Tang San anymore.
Because of his repeated interventions, Tang San had become a pariah in the God Realm—blocked, isolated, powerless.
For the first time, Tang San understood why all his carefully chosen successors had failed to obey his will.
It wasn't rebellion. It was sabotage—deliberately orchestrated by the Goddess of Life and the God of Destruction.
Now, not only had Tang San lost a brilliant successor, but even his precious daughter's state of mind seemed... unstable.
Returning to Huo Yuhao's side: what did he do with the Azure Bull Python and Titan Giant Ape after capturing them?
Simple.
He turned them into his spirit souls.
Why? It was easy.
First, they had been defeated so utterly by the Snow Empress—who herself was Huo Yuhao's spirit soul.
Second, with Huo Yuhao's help, they had a real chance of ascending to the God Realm.
Think about it.
Despite their ancient power and loyalty to Xiao Wu, Tang San had never once offered them the chance to ascend. They were left to rot in the lower realms, as mere relics of a forgotten age.
Huo Yuhao, on the other hand, promised them a future: to rise with him, to truly become gods.
Compared to Tang San, who treated them like disposable hounds, Huo Yuhao was a savior.
Thus, the two ancient soul beasts willingly submitted, forming spirit soul contracts with Huo Yuhao when he broke through to Soul Emperor.
Their loyalty now was absolute.
Looking at Huo Yuhao's current spirit ring configuration was almost absurd:
Platinum, purple, black, black, black, orange-gold, orange-gold.
Red, orange-gold, orange-gold, orange-gold, orange-gold, orange-gold, orange-gold.
A spirit soul array so terrifying that even ordinary Title Douluo—like Duke Dai Hao—would struggle to defeat him.
Three years later, Huo Yuhao had achieved perfection.
In wealth. In power. In cultivation.
He stood at the pinnacle of the continent—no, of the entire Sun Moon Continent.
That was why, standing in his office today, he whispered to himself:
"The three years are up."
Now it was time.
Time to conquer Star Luo City.
Time to finish his long-standing feud with Duke Dai Hao.
Time to seize the imperial throne from Xu Tiannan.
The end of the story was near.
Looking back on his journey, from the day he first crossed into this world, Huo Yuhao couldn't help but feel a little emotional.
Time had flown by.
He had risen faster, higher, stronger than even he could have imagined.
With the advantages of knowledge from his past life, combined with the protagonist template of Huo Yuhao himself, clearing a "simple" world like Douluo Continent had never been in doubt.
Victory was inevitable.
