Chapter 431 - Chapter 432: Saiyan Bloodline

When Kaito returned home, he took Vegeta's tail out from the Door Space and examined it closely in his hand.

On the TV, the news was still playing—two enormous black apes were shown roaring toward the sky, exuding an overwhelming sense of power.

But in the next moment, one of the apes' heads suddenly exploded, while the other gradually shrank until it disappeared entirely.

The final footage showed Bulma being interviewed. She calmly explained that the two giant apes were newly developed biological models from her company and that the miniaturization technology had already been used to retract them—so they couldn't be displayed anymore.

Kaito looked up at the screen briefly, then lowered his head again to continue studying the tail in his hand.

Android 18 watched the TV for a moment. Putting aside her feelings about Kaito, she genuinely admired Bulma's genius. She said with a hint of appreciation,

"Bulma's excuse is flawless. This way, people won't panic."

"Yeah, she's always been smart."

Android 17 had just come out of the shower, using a white towel to dry his wet hair. Casually, he added,

"You mean Bulma from the Capsule Corporation? She's something else. Born into that kind of family, and a genius on top of it."

18 didn't comment further—she didn't want to keep talking about another woman in front of her boyfriend. 17, being sharp enough, shut his mouth right after.

Kaito froze the tail again and stored it back inside the Doa Doa Space. 18 sat down beside him and asked,

"Kaito, you've been staring at that tail for half the day. What did you find out?"

"Not bad, I guess. I have to admit, the Saiyans' racial talent is quite impressive."

"Huh? But those two Saiyans today were so weak—they couldn't even take one hit from me."

"That's because they haven't truly awakened their bloodline power yet. Don't underestimate the Saiyan race."

"Oh, okay. Then what about the force backing them that you mentioned earlier? Is it strong?"

"To them, it's strong. But to you, it's just a bunch of weaklings. Not worth worrying about."

Kaito gently squeezed 18's hand and thought to himself,

"I really should've kept those lab devices back when I destroyed the facility… Oh well, I'll just visit Bulma tomorrow. She definitely won't be short on equipment."

...

The next morning, Kaito appeared before Bulma, startling her just as she finished washing up.

"Kaito? What are you doing here?"

Kaito took off his cap, letting his long, snow-white hair cascade down like a waterfall. Bulma froze for a moment, her eyes going wide.

Realizing her lapse, she coughed twice to cover her embarrassment.

Kaito smiled and greeted her.

"Sorry to scare you. I came today to ask if I could borrow your lab for a bit. Is that okay?"

"Of course! You saved my life yesterday—this is nothing. But wait here for a second, I'll be right back!"

With that, Bulma rushed back to her room and, at record speed, did her makeup and changed into her favorite outfit. When she reappeared before Kaito, she looked like a completely different person.

Kaito was stunned by her speed. In his impression, women usually took ages to get ready—but Bulma had managed it in under five minutes. Truly impressive.

Of course, that was also because Bulma had naturally good looks; a touch of lipstick and a quick adjustment of her hair were all she needed.

Feeling confident after changing clothes, Bulma stood before Kaito with a bright smile.

"All right, sorry to keep you waiting. Let's head to the lab!"

Kaito nodded. As they walked, they chatted casually.

"How's Yamcha doing? He looked pretty bad off yesterday."

"He's fine now. Goku gave him a senzu bean, so he's probably out driving around again."

As she said that, Bulma's expression darkened slightly. Yesterday, she'd been touched by Yamcha's actions—but as soon as he recovered, he went right back to his usual ways.

Kaito noticed her mood and smoothly changed the subject.

"What about Goku and the others? Off training again?"

"Yep! They left with that Saiyan, Vegeta. That guy's been cursing nonstop since you left—so annoying!"

"Haha, well, he is the Saiyan prince. Having a bit of an attitude is only natural."

"Tch! With that height, he dares call himself a prince? You look way more like one!"

Laughing, the two arrived at the lab. As the world's top tech company, Capsule Corp's laboratory was fully equipped—far beyond Orochimaru's dark and half-ruined setups.

Kaito placed Vegeta's tail on the workbench and extracted the Saiyan cells from it.

If Orochimaru were here, he'd probably drool over them. The energy contained within far surpassed that of Hashirama's cells, which he'd studied his whole life.

Kaito's goal was to use these cells to gain the Saiyan bloodline. Having consumed the Ultimate God Tree Fruit, his body's compatibility was extremely high. Implanting Saiyan cells was hardly a challenge for him.

But now, he found himself hesitating—because these cells weren't exactly top-tier.

As the Saiyan prince, Vegeta's bloodline purity was without question. Yet, compared to Broly, he was nothing.

The old Broly easily crushed four Super Saiyans. The new Broly fought on equal footing with god-level Goku and Vegeta—basically, the golden child of destiny.

His Super Saiyan form even had the word "Legendary" in front of it—pure style points.

Thinking of that Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline, Kaito suddenly lost interest in Vegeta's cells.

A golden flame ignited in his palm, and Vegeta's tail burned into ashes.

...

Curious, Bulma leaned closer and asked,

"Kaito, why'd you burn the tail? Weren't you studying it?"

Kaito shook his head.

"It's worthless now—because I found something better."

"Something better?"

"Yeah."

Kaito clapped his hands together, recalling everything he knew about Broly.

He didn't know which version of Broly existed in this universe. One was on Planet Shamo, the other on Planet Vampa—and he had no idea where either of them was.

But that wasn't a problem for him. After all, this world had its own cheat—Dragon Balls.

Though to Kaito, they were rather underwhelming. Things like resurrection or immortality were already within his reach. For him now, the Dragon Balls' greatest use was simply finding someone.
