Vegeta narrowed his eyes and said,
"Nappa, you'll be the one to create the moon."
Creating a moon consumed quite a bit of energy, and since he had Nappa around as free labor, Vegeta wasn't about to waste the opportunity.
Nappa didn't dare defy Vegeta's order. He immediately raised his hand, and after making a face like he was severely constipated, a bright white sphere of energy floated up from his palm.
That was the so-called Artificial Moon.
With a loud roar, Nappa hurled the Artificial Moon into the sky. Both of them stared intently at it as their bodies rapidly expanded. Under Bulma's horrified gaze, they transformed into two enormous black apes.
Their appearance caused instant chaos in the city — screams filled the air.
Kaito folded his arms, watching the two towering beasts with interest. Especially their battle suits — the quality was impressive. At least they didn't seem likely to rip open at the crotch.
Android 18 frowned. She simply found the two apes hideous… and unbearably loud.
Unlike Goku, the pure-blooded Saiyans Nappa and Vegeta didn't lose their minds after transforming, but that primal beastly instinct still needed an outlet.
They pounded their chests and let out ear-splitting roars toward the sky.
Android 18 had already had enough. In a flash, her figure disappeared and reappeared above Nappa's massive head.
Honestly, even without the battle armor, she could tell it was Nappa — the guy's head hair was ridiculously sparse.
Nappa raised his enormous hands, trying to swat her, but 18 didn't even bother dodging. Her internal scanner had already told her these two apes were nothing but trash in front of her.
She raised one delicate hand, aimed it at Nappa's forehead, and fired a golden energy blast before reappearing beside Kaito.
BOOM!
Nappa's head exploded like a rotten watermelon. His enormous body dropped to its knees, then quickly began to shrink — turning into a headless corpse.
Kaito clapped his hands and praised,
"Not bad. That's how you deal with an enemy. You've got talent, 18."
18 actually looked a little embarrassed. She had only meant to shoot through his brain, not blow his entire head off.
Vegeta was completely stunned. The speed and destructive power 18 had just displayed sent a chill through him. If Nappa had been swapped for him, the result wouldn't have been much different.
He was arrogant, yes, but when facing an overwhelmingly powerful enemy, even Vegeta couldn't help but feel fear — and lose all will to fight.
That was where he differed from Goku. No matter how strong the opponent, Goku never felt fear. He'd always charge in anyway.
When 18 turned her gaze on him, Vegeta quickly raised his hands and shouted,
"Wait a second!"
But 18 didn't even slow down. Her palm rose again, an energy orb beginning to shimmer in front of it.
Suddenly, several small energy blasts shot through the air and struck Vegeta's back. But their power was far too weak — his body only tilted slightly before he steadied himself again.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
Several figures appeared in the sky — Goku and the others had arrived.
Goku glanced at the headless corpse on the ground, wondering who could've taken down a Saiyan.
When his eyes landed on Kaito, they widened sharply.
"It's him!" he exclaimed.
Krillin and the others, who hadn't met Kaito before, looked around in confusion.
"Who are you talking about, Goku?"
A bead of cold sweat formed on Piccolo's forehead as he said in a low voice,
"He's talking about the young man standing next to Bulma… That one's far more terrifying than any Saiyan."
Vegeta glared at Goku from the group below.
"Kakarot?" he said.
Goku frowned — he still hated that name.
"My name is Son Goku!" he snapped.
"Hmph! Still denying it? That low-class warrior look of yours doesn't fool me!"
The two of them clearly weren't destined to get along. The moment they met, they were already trading insults. If 18 and Kaito hadn't been standing right there, Vegeta probably would've attacked already.
18 kept her palm aimed at Vegeta, then turned to Kaito and asked,
"Kaito, should I kill this one too?"
One nod from him, and her energy blast would have reduced Vegeta to a pile of minced flesh.
Kaito thought for a moment and replied,
"Forget it. Let's leave old Vegeta alive — let him and Goku keep their little rivalry going."
"'Old Vegeta'? You really do like giving people nicknames, don't you, Kaito?"
18 covered her mouth and laughed softly. No one watching could've guessed that this elegant, cold-looking woman had just blown off a Saiyan's head a moment ago.
Kaito gently wrapped an arm around her waist. His golden eyes flared — two thin beams of light shot out, slicing straight through the tail behind Vegeta.
"AAAHHH!!"
Vegeta let out a piercing scream. His tail severed, the fur covering his body vanished, and his massive frame quickly shrank back to normal.
He clutched his bleeding backside, eyes wide with shock.
Kaito raised one hand again — several black shackles appeared out of thin air and clamped tightly around Vegeta, binding him in place.
Goku and the others landed on the ground, staring at Kaito with wary confusion, unsure of what he intended to do.
Kaito ignored them for the moment. He opened his palm — the severed tail, still faintly warm, appeared there.
18 looked at it curiously and asked,
"Kaito, what do you need that tail for?"
"For research. Did you forget? I'm Doctor Kaito now."
He chuckled, pinching her cheek lightly before freezing the tail solid and tossing it into the Gate-Gate Space.
Vegeta kept thrashing wildly on the ground, but no matter how much he struggled, he couldn't break free of the black shackles.
These restraints were similar to the black rods created through Yin-Yang Release — but compared to those, the ones forged by Kaito, an Ōtsutsuki god, were on an entirely different level.
Even if Vegeta were to transform into a Super Saiyan, he wouldn't be able to shatter them.
Once he was done, Kaito turned to Goku with a calm smile.
"I'll leave this guy to you. Just a little reminder — behind the Saiyans, there's an even more terrifying power at work. So keep training, all of you. Next time, don't count on me to show up in time."
With that, Kaito pulled 18 into his arms, carrying her princess-style — and in the blink of an eye, they vanished without a trace.
