Each piece of information Layla uncovered weighed on her shoulders as she returned to the safe house. She felt as if every step was a race towards a reality she could not escape. Kamals empire was far more destructive than she had anticipated and now could engulf her in a world she thought she understood.
Kamal The Raven Project was far more than just a criminal empire; it was a socity reshaping empire that revolved around influence and power. One look at it and you would see a devastating system built on lies, manipulation and at times, kamal's merciful greed. To set things right, there was only one thing to do now. Expose the real kamal and his empires spine.
She saw Irfan loking at her with han expression half full of concern. The protective armor she wore did nothing to conceal the astonishing amount of burden.
"Layla," Irfan spoke as she walked in and scanned her face for answers. "You look different. What happened?"
A faint smile crossed her lips as she shook her head.
Seeking to dodge confrontation, Kamal now wears eight hats simultaneously — business and government all converge through the capital he has amassed," she voiced softly in a glacial tone. "The Raven Project is just his most prized possession."
Her explanation unveiled itself in waves, each harder to grasp than the previous one. Equally difficult to process was how simply everything blended at the end.
"Oh no. So what happens now, if everything falls apart so quickly? The foundation, which is already flawed, will rest on thin air."
"What do you mean? How does the Raven Project fit into all of this?" Irfan's widened eyes only maintained their gaze on her.
"The project isn't just some technological innovation. It's a tool — instrument diabolique," she said, raising both of her eyes slowly in a blended world. "By using it and everything surrounding it, he has a grasp on the market, political decisions, even global policies. International policies: mint. The connections are not business associates, they are stakeholders of our birthright. Building coalitions wasn't always the point. Capital shielded Kamal the most, the rest cannot afford to annihilate."
Irfan gripped the edge of the table, leaning forward.
"So, if we put the spotlight on exposing Kamal, we wouldn't just target a single person, but a whole infrastructure that is deeply rooted."
Layla gave her confirmation. "Yes, and this is the main reason I need to plan each step carefully. Kamal has people backing him from powerful positions. People who would go to great lengths to make sure he remains safe. If I go after Kamal in the wrong manner, I could lose way more than my father's legacy. I could jeopardize our lives—and the lives of my supporters."
Irfan scowled. "Then we must be selective in picking strategies. We have to think this through, instead of making impulse decisions. But we both know that allowing Kamal to run with all the strings is no longer an option."
Ideas flooded into Layla's head. Careless mistakes could turn disastrous, and that was something she couldn't afford. She wasn't prepared to give up the fight. Layla under no circumstances could let this go; her family's reputation relied on it, and most importantly, the people who had cruelly been hurt by Kamal's actions deserved justice.
"Now we must look for people that are working with him," Layla stated, her voice resolute. " The ones who are aiding him in sustaining this empire. I'm confident that they exist and have their own hidden agendas. If we manage to get to them, we can unravel the entire web. We can defeat Kamal. "
Irfan gave it some consideration as he thought of the outlined plan while tapping his fingers on the table. " Do you have any of these people? Any of them whom you can rely upon who works in the inside?"
Layla paused for some time amd then nodded. " I have some of those. People who were once to Kamal but are currently questioning his way of leading. A couple of them might be willing to provide assistance. But I have to tread carefully in whom I confide. If I trust someone who is not reliable, it will put everything at risk."
Looking at her brother, she could see them rising together. He had his eyes glued on window of the now darkened building which looked magnificent yet scary at the same time. " This is much bigger than what we presumed. However, Layla I will assist you. We will ensure Kamal does not prevail."
Empowerment filled the room as the atmosphere turned somber because Kamal's name was spoken. " Together we can accomplish specatacular feats."
"I will neither allow Kamal to win today or in the future."
Irfan nodded affirmingly and in quiet silence. "We're in this, Layla. All the way."
In the stillness of the room, Layla felt as though the contemplate storm dangers. She recalled the risk Kamal posed that buttress self-motivated truth's. He was indeed a fatal threat, but now it felt like everything was on the verge of collapsing.
But there was no other alternative. She could only move straight into dead end, copious of danger and deception while laid sickly tangled within system. The traps threaded into structures, strong she didn't intend to stop, answer.
Mark the words clearly, the fury was out there primed with intention. Coz' when it does mercilessly bestow down civility left and right, he Kamal would finally realize she has broken free from the strings he articulated.
