White nodded his head, then he placed his paw over my hand, as if he was trying to tell me "I got you."
The gesture brought warmth to my chest. A small smile formed on my lips.
I ran my hands through his fur. "What a knight you are? I'm afraid I might fall over heels for you if you were a male." I chuckled, wiping the tears off my face with my other hand.
He growled in satisfaction, wagging his tail.
The day went by faster than I had anticipated, White was a little bit handful to manage.
…
My eyes opened to the golden rays of the sunlight that had filtered through the curtains.
I tried to sit up but it was impossible. Like something heavy was sitting on me.
I looked down only to find White lying on me. My body had already gone numb.
I sighed deeply. "What a great way to start the day."
"Get off me, White." I groaned in desperation.
Hearing my voice, he got up and gave my face a quick lick.
"Good morning too." I dragged my body to the balcony.
