Amelia Bones office Ministry of Magic
Auror Dawlish insisted on bring in Harry, Merlin, Hermione and Neville. While they were waiting, the silence was deafening. Finally, Amelia called the group into her office.
"All right, Mr. Potter we will start with you. What the hell happened in the Alley today?"
Amelia said with a look that could kill but it was aimed a Dawlish.
Harry gave a quick run down. "We were in the Alley shopping for school, The Death Eaters popped into the Alley and started firing spells at anyone that moved. We came out and quickly subdued them. I was using Reductos and Bombardas. They were quite effective too."
She then turned to the Old Man. "Who are you? Can you tell me what Happened?" Amelia was getting a bit exasperated.
The old man turned looked her in the eye. "My student gives a correct account of his actions. I used a freezing charm, which freezes all but myself for a 100 yard radius. I then bond these reprehensible people took their wands and magic. I do doubt they will give you any more problems. I by the way am Merlin Emery's at your service." He then bowed deeply to Amelia.
Dawlish was fuming at this point. "Amelia this is the job of the Aurors…We can not have school children fighting Death Eaters in the streets!"
Harry spun around on him. "Where were the Aurors? Mr. Dawlish, The Death Eaters use hit and run tactics. If we had waited for the AURORS, HALF THE PEOPLE IN THE ALLEY WOULD BE DEAD OR WORSE! You would never have seen anything but the carnage left over, because they would have been gone before you got there! We saved tons of good witches and wizards today….where is the crime in that?" Then Harry shot a spell at Dawlish left arm ripping away his sleeve exposing his dark mark. "Now I see why you're really so upset."
Dawlish drew his wand and it was in Merlin's Hand before a spell could be uttered. Harry quickly bound Dawlish in ropes and told Amelia. "That's one more today." Then he started laughing. "No wonder he wanted us off the streets."
When they finally got out of the Ministry, everything in Diagon Alley was closed, so they went home to two angry Grangers.
When they Arrived unharmed and Laughing amongst themselves Bridgette Granger just exploded. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN WE WERE WORRIED SICK!" She said at extreme volume with tears streaming down her face.
Therefore, they went through everything one more time, and finally calmed the Grangers. It was very late and they all decided to get some sleep.

Decimates Death Eaters
Yesterday afternoon the death eaters attacked Diagon Alley. Harry Potter and A group of Friends decided not to run and hide. Every Death Eater involved in the attack was either captured or killed. In less than three minutes the fight was over. The Aurors did not arrive for another ten minutes.
The Aurors then attempted to arrest Harry and his friends. They were released only hours later, when it was found Auror Dawlish was also a Death Eater.
When asked for comment Mr. Potter said. "All it takes for evil to win is when good people do nothing. Do not wait for any one to save you Fight back and we will let the light shine through!"

For once, everyone was pleased with a Prophet report. They still had Two weeks before the forth year at Hogwarts would begin, so they took to their Muggle military training with renewed vigor. Harry and Hermione added significant muscle and their ability not to be where a spell was aimed was incomprehensible.
The day for the train arrived, and Harry and Hermione decided to take it to school for an easy day off.
