Summer at Rowan Hall was filled with learning, and training. Harry was a true magical prodigy; Merlin was enjoying his new apprentice. Jean Pierre Granger had brought in an old friend from his time as a marine. He trained all of them. They also were learning swordsmanship, weapons, eastern fighting techniques, and more. Merlin put Harry on a full potions regiment to repair the damage of his early years. Even Madame Pomfrey was found at the hall learning lost healing techniques. Harry grew in knowledge and power, Merlin taught not only magic but also wisdom. Jean Pierre and Brigitte Granger were also there taking them away every weekend, giving them a chance to rest and just be kids.
When Harry's birthday arrived, he had forgotten all about it. He woke up for his normal morning run with the others as was their normal routine.
When they arrived, back to shower Harry noticed the entire house was quiet, which never seemed to happen in the morning. He went and showered and readied him self for a normal day of training.
He came downstairs for breakfast and not a single soul was to be found. In fact, he couldn't get into the kitchen, making him extremely frustrated. Then from the floor, Golden sparks began floating slowly upwards, and began slowly coalescing into words above him. A trumpet sounded and people began to appear out of what seemed to be nothing all yelling 'SURPRISE' with the words just finishing above the kitchen door 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY Harry'! The party began with a large birthday breakfast.
Then People arriving on and off until noon for a party brunch, and of course a quiditch cake with the players flying above it. Harry for once was actually enjoying being the center of attention.
The few Death eaters remaining were meeting in an old house in a muggle neighborhood protected by a Fidelius Charm. The argument going on inside was heated and loud. It was decided to put fear of dark back in the people. They would attack Diagon Alley on the Third of August at mid-day. Most of the children going back to Hogwarts would be there buying their needs for the next school year. They would kill and rape as many as possible.
August third
Harry Hermione and company left the Leaky Cauldron early that morning having flued in early for a hardy breakfast. They were leaving Madame Malkins when the Death Eaters struck. Kreacher Got the Grangers to safety. Harry took to the alley firing Reductos and Bombardas he was to fast for the Death Eaters who fell quickly. Hermione was using bone breakers and entrails expelling curses. Merlin walked out, froze everything moving, and then moved through the Alley, removed all wands of the Death Eaters left in the alley, and bound them together. He removed their magic and disbursed it between the others canceled all the curses flying in the alley and allowed the freeze to die away.
The Aurors Arrived a few moments later to see the carnage. Nine Death Eaters Lie Dead or dying in the alley, twenty were bound together with out their wands or magic.
The Aurors were not Happy with the scene and were interrogating Harry and his friends.
Auror Dawlish was the Lead Auror and wanted blood. "Mr. Potter, What is going on here?"
Harry just kept his cool and looked at the fool. "Seems a few Death Eaters decided to attack Diagon Alley, we put a stop to it."
