"Hahaha, did you guys SEE Zoom's face back there?"
"See what? He wears a mask, Cisco."
"His voice! His body language! He was terrified of Alex!"
"Today is a glorious day."
"We never have to live in fear of Zoom again!"
…
Earth-1, S.T.A.R. Labs.
The atmosphere couldn't be better.
Cisco, Caitlin, Barry, Wells…
Even Wells' daughter Jesse…
Every single person was glowing with excitement.
After so many months of dread, they had finally—truly—defeated Zoom.
Their long-standing fear had finally been broken.
Even if they weren't the ones who landed the finishing blow…
It still felt like victory.
"Alex… thank you. Without you, I could never have reunited with my daughter."
Wells said earnestly, stepping up to Alex.
"No need to thank me, Doctor. I simply kept my promise."
Alex replied casually with a shrug.
"Speaking of promises… don't worry, Alex. I'll fulfill everything I agreed to."
Wells said solemnly.
He had promised to help Alex steal Zoom's speed—and that process was only beginning.
It would take time.
A long time.
And throughout that time, Wells would be Alex's indispensable technical support.
"I trust you, Doctor."
Alex nodded, scanning the group.
"Well then, everyone—I'll head out first. But I'm sure we'll be meeting again soon."
BOOM!
With a sonic burst, Alex vanished.
---
Returning to his base, the first thing Alex did was walk toward a sleek technological terminal.
Several glass tubes were installed on it.
Crackle—crackle—!
Inside one of the tubes, brilliant lightning danced wildly.
This was the speed stolen from Zoom.
Or—if Alex's guess was correct—
the Speed Force itself.
But whether it truly was or not…
Only one way to find out.
Without hesitation, Alex lifted the tube and loaded it into a prepared injector.
Hiss—!
Lightning shot straight into his body.
FLASH!
At once, Alex felt an indescribable force flood his veins.
Crackle—!
Bolts of electricity erupted across his skin, dancing violently—
But within moments, the lightning was absorbed as if it had struck an endless sponge.
Then everything…
went back to normal.
"…That's it?"
Alex spread his hands, unimpressed.
The mysterious, otherworldly Speed Force didn't manifest.
Nothing dramatic happened.
But—
after testing—
He grinned.
His speed had increased.
By roughly three hundred meters per second.
Compared to his current levels, that barely meant anything…
But the key was:
He gained it in minutes.
At that efficiency—
and considering Zoom was still alive—
The harvest would only continue.
This was exactly why Alex had spared Zoom.
Zoom wasn't an enemy—
He was premium-grade crops waiting to be harvested.
As for whether this was truly the Speed Force…
Alex wasn't sure yet.
But he didn't rule it out.
After all, even Barry didn't gain the Speed Force first and become fast afterward.
It was the opposite—
speed came first,
then the Speed Force awakened.
So the Speed Force might be "dormant" inside him now, waiting to awaken later.
The thought made Alex grin.
"Come to think of it… this is getting exciting."
---
The Next Six Years
Alex's life became busy—
and fulfilling.
He stationed himself mainly in Central City,
but continued supervising Star City and Smallville as well.
Lex Luthor and Oliver Queen's respective experiments
were too important to ignore.
But with Alex's speed, distance wasn't a problem at all.
Thus:
• Overseeing two major research projects
• Repeatedly draining Zoom's speed
• Growing stronger day by day
His routine was boring but effective.
Half a year later—
Zoom's "value" was completely harvested.
Alex had extracted 4,000 m/s of speed from him.
His own speed reached:
14,000 meters per second.
Terrifying growth.
A year later—
Lex Luthor finally succeeded.
He had completely removed the toxic radiation from Kryptonite.
Alex absorbed every last shard he had stockpiled…
Gaining the equivalent of 200,000 source points of enhancement.
His power skyrocketed again—
Strength: 30,000 tons
Speed: 20,000 m/s
And Oliver Queen?
His part took the longest.
Four years.
Four full years before he finally succeeded in synthesizing artificial Kryptonite using the fragments Alex had collected.
And thanks to the data Alex handed over—
His Kryptonite required no purification.
Ready for direct absorption.
Perfect.
Finally—
Alex made his decision.
"It's time to go back."
He calculated the time.
He had left the Marvel universe for six years.
A long time.
And now that everything in the DC world was complete…
It was time to return.
He collected all the technology from Oliver and Luthor.
Then summoned the Infinity Gauntlet.
Clack—clack—clack—!
A dimensional portal tore open.
Without hesitation—
Alex stepped through.
And disappeared.
