Selene~
"Can we not talk about this, please?" Christopher frowned.
"You said you'd answer any questions I had," I argued.
He dragged a hand down his face, exhaling as he did so. "Selene…"
"No, don't 'Selene' me," I snapped. "You keep dangling half truths in front of me and then shut down the moment I want to know more about you."
His jaw clenched as he stared at me and I stared back. I was about to say something else when the doorbell rang.
He groaned and went to open the door.
"Come in," I heard him say. "She's right over there."
I looked towards the direction of the door and Cassidy came bursting in.
"Selene!" she sounded furious. "How could you just disappear without a word? Did you know how worried I was? Do you know what time it is?"
I glanced at the window, it was already nighttime.
"I… I… I must've l-lost track of time," I stammered.
She sighed and nodded. "Let's go home. Come on. Put on your mask."
