The sky over Kuoh seemed about to collapse.
The barrier surrounding the Academy trembled like glass under pressure, illuminated by flashes of magical energy. Each impact reverberated in the bones, as if the entire world were about to shake at any moment.
In the center of the destruction, Kokabiel's figure floated, his black wings spread like an omen. The light sword in his hand burned with an arrogant glow, as if mocking everyone present.
"Is that all the current generation of demons has to offer?" His voice carried pure scorn. "What a disappointment."
"Don't underestimate us!"
Issei and Kiba advanced side by side. Issei's eyes burned with determination, while Kiba's overflowed with contained hatred. Both wielded swords, the sound of the air being cut echoing as they charged against the fallen archangel.
The blades clashed against the light sword, sparking like fireworks.
Kiba moved at absurd speed, his irregular blade from the Balance Breaker he had achieved earlier cutting with hatred and precision. Beside him, Issei didn't lag behind, matching his partner in every strike, his sword made by his beloved strengthening his movements.
For an instant, it seemed they might land something.
But Kokabiel merely raised a lazy smile.
"Nice... but useless."
His sword shone in a devastating arc.
The impact raised a wave of energy that hurled Issei and Kiba through the air, as if they were disposable dolls. The two collided against the ground, the stone cracking under the weight of their bodies.
"Kiba! Issei!"
Rias's voice echoed, laden with desperation.
Before she could run to them, an electric storm cut through the sky.
"You're not going to hurt them anymore!"
Akeno appeared in the heights, her black wings spread, hair dancing in the wind. Lightning bolts shot from her hands, descending like divine pillars toward Kokabiel.
The air smelled of ozone, and each discharge seemed capable of splitting mountains.
But Kokabiel didn't retreat.
He raised the light sword as if it were merely an umbrella. The lightning bolts ricocheted, dispersed into impotent sparks.
"Is that all? I expected more from the daughter of a human and a fallen. Where is your hatred? Where is your shame?"
His smile grew, each word crafted to provoke.
"You—!"
Rias could no longer stand to hear it.
Crimson energy concentrated in her palm, swirling around her fingers like a small furious sun. Spheres of Power of Destruction materialized, firing at Kokabiel like deadly projectiles.
The attacks exploded in the air, covering the sky with scarlet flashes.
The ground trembled.
The barrier nearly gave way.
But when the dust cleared, Kokabiel's silhouette was still there, intact.
"Pathetic."
He had simply sliced through each sphere, as if they were soap bubbles.
Rias shuddered. "It can't be..."
Before she could react, Kokabiel shot toward her.
The air split with his speed.
"Rias-sama!"
Koneko advanced, her small body enveloped in demonic strength. Her fists were like hammers, each strike trying to hit the enemy's ribs. She dodged each sword cut, trying to create space for her master.
But Kokabiel was unshaken.
He moved like a predator tired of playing. A single kick to Koneko's abdomen was enough. The impact hurled her against the ground, cracking the stone beneath her body. She coughed up blood, her gaze blurring for an instant.
"Koneko!"
Rias took a step forward, but the light sword's slash forced her to retreat, raising another sphere of destruction as defense.
Above, the fallen angels accompanying Kokabiel laughed.
"Look at that, the noble demons, crawling like worms!"
"Is this the pride of the Gremory family? What a disappointment!"
Each laugh cut like an invisible blade.
On the ground, Kiba rose again. His body trembled, but his eyes did not. He had achieved his Balance Breaker. He had fulfilled his revenge against Excalibur. And now, he had nothing left to lose.
"I'm not stopping here..." he murmured.
His black sword shone. He ran, each step echoing like a sentence.
"I'm going to end you!"
Kokabiel raised an eyebrow.
"What persistence."
The light sword shone once more.
The slash pierced Kiba's defense and struck him full force. Blood splattered, and his body fell to its knees. The wound in his chest was too deep, leaving him on the brink of death.
"KIBA!!"
Issei's scream split the air. He ran to hold his friend in his arms, his face stained with desperation.
"Stay with me! Please, don't leave me—!"
Rias froze.
Her eyes widened as she saw the blood flowing down Kiba's uniform, Issei's face desperate.
Panic exploded in her chest.
"No... I won't let it!"
Spheres of Power of Destruction appeared around her, dozens at once. She fired them in fury, without thinking, without calculating. A crimson torrent illuminated the battlefield, consuming everything in its path.
But Kokabiel danced between the attacks.
His sword slashed, dodged, dispersed each sphere with movements that seemed almost lazy. The contrast was cruel: Rias's desperate effort against the calm arrogance of a being who didn't even take the fight seriously.
"Is this what you call a fight? Ridiculous."
He disappeared for an instant.
When he reappeared, his sword slashed the air toward Rias.
The impact hit her from the side, tearing part of her uniform and opening a deep cut in her skin. She screamed, her body hurled against the ground violently.
The stones cracked under her weight.
Blood trickled from her shoulder, staining the hands that tried to support her. Her body trembled, the torn clothes revealing much more than she would like.
"Rias-sama!" Akeno descended in haste, her eyes wide.
But Rias could barely hear. Her mind spun between pain, anger, and... something else.
An intrusive image.
A face different from Kokabiel's.
Blue eyes, silver hair, a calm smile that always made her lose her breath.
Kazuya.
She bit her lips hard.
Why, in a moment like this, was she thinking of him?
"You're trembling." Kokabiel hovered above her, his cruel smile illuminated by the moon. "Nothing more to offer?"
The laughter of his lackeys echoed again.
Rias tried to raise her hand, but the energy dissipated around her fingers. The cut throbbed, and the feeling of impotence crushed her.
The pride of the Gremorys, the legacy of her family, the future she wanted to protect... everything seemed to be shattering before her eyes.
She couldn't accept it.
She didn't want to accept it.
But Kokabiel was already raising his sword again, ready to end the fight once and for all. His cold eyes reflected the moon, and the arrogant smile on his face promised an inevitable end. But before the final blow could descend, one of the fallen lackeys, a man with dark wings and a lecherous gaze, tilted his head with a crooked smile, his eyes fixed on Rias's exposed breasts, whose torn clothes barely covered her pale skin.
"Hey, Kokabiel-sama," he called with a voice laden with mockery: "Don't you think it would be a shame to kill them so quickly? How about we have some fun with this redhead and her servants before finishing them off? It would be a good way to pass the time, don't you think?"
At the end of his words, he licked his lips, the tone suggesting something filthy that made Rias's stomach churn.
Kokabiel let out a deep laugh, the sound echoing like distant thunder. He lowered the sword slowly, the blade's glow dimming for an instant, before spinning it in a quick and precise arc. The slash tore through the air, and the upper part of Rias's uniform was shredded, strips of fabric falling to the ground and leaving her skin exposed to the cold night. Her firm and pale breasts, marked by a superficial cut that still bled, were on display, the flush of humiliation rising on her face as she tried to cover herself with her trembling arms.
"Rias-sama!" Akeno shouted, lunging forward with rage in her eyes, lightning crackling in her hands. But before she could reach her, another fallen angel, with twisted wings and a sadistic smile, appeared in her path. With a brusque movement, he grabbed her wrists, immobilizing her in the air.
"Where do you think you're going, girl?" he mocked, his fingers tightening hard as he tore Akeno's clothes with the other hand. The fabric ripped, revealing her skin and generous breasts, which trembled with her accelerated breathing.
"I think I'll have some fun with you first," he said, his voice laden with desire as he held her firm.
Kokabiel watched the scene with disdain, but a glint of amusement crossed his face.
"Do whatever you want," he declared, his voice cold and authoritative, "but be quick. I have no patience for games that take too long."
He crossed his arms, the sword still in one hand, as if what was to come was merely an interlude before the true spectacle of destruction.
Rias, on the ground, clenched her teeth, pain and humiliation burning in her chest. Her eyes met Akeno's, who struggled against the lackey's grip, weak lightning crackling uselessly in her fingers. Issei, still holding Kiba's wounded body, screamed in rage, trying to stand, but the effort made him stagger. Koneko, coughing blood, dragged herself closer, her fists clenched despite her weakness.
The lackey eyeing Rias took a step forward, his smile widening as he approached her.
"Let's see what this demon princess has to offer," he said, extending his hand with clear intent.
The other, holding Akeno, laughed loudly, beginning to drag the priestess to a corner, her torn clothes dangling from her body as she struggled, her eyes full of fury and desperation.
Koneko tried to rise, her small body still trembling from the devastating kick she had received. Blood trickled from the corner of her lips, but her golden eyes burned with fury.
She couldn't stand to see Rias humiliated like that. Nor Akeno being dragged like a doll.
"...I won't... let..." she murmured, her voice hoarse, almost without strength.
The cracked ground gave way under her faltering steps as she advanced against the nearest lackey. Her clenched fist was enveloped in demonic energy, and she launched the strike with all her remaining strength.
The fallen angel laughed.
With a simple movement, he grabbed her arm in the air, twisting it back effortlessly.
"Look at that... even the mascot decided to play." His voice was steeped in scorn.
Koneko gritted her teeth, trying to resist, but the power difference was brutal. The grip on her wrists made her groan softly, and then he lifted her as if she weighed nothing, throwing her against the ground violently.
The impact reverberated through her body, taking her breath away. Before she could react, he grabbed her by the collar, tearing part of her uniform. The pale skin of her shoulders was exposed, her eyes widening in a mix of hatred and impotence.
"Even small, these little demons have their charm..." His smile twisted into something sick. "I think I'll have fun with you too."
"Stop... you bastard..." Koneko tried to fight, but her body wouldn't respond.
Rias screamed, her voice broken by pain and humiliation.
"Stop! Leave them alone!"
"Silence, princess." The first lackey, still approaching Rias, pointed the light blade at the ground near her. The explosion cut through the air, forcing her to curl up, her trembling body vainly trying to hide the forced nudity.
Akeno, restrained by her wrists and nearly stripped, struggled desperately, but each movement only increased the cruel grip on her arms. Her eyes, which normally shone with confidence and mischief, now filled with tears of frustration.
Issei, pinned beside the wounded Kiba, pounded the ground with his hands, his eyes red with rage.
"Damn... damn!! If I had more power... if I had more power!!"
Kokabiel watched everything from above, like a king before a grotesque spectacle. His expression mixed indifference and cruel pleasure.
"This is the true face of war. There is no honor, only strength. If you can't even protect yourselves, then you deserve nothing but humiliation."
He raised the light sword, letting it rest on his shoulder, and laughed loudly as his lackeys advanced further against the girls.
Despair was about to become something even worse.
It was then that a voice echoed across the battlefield, firm, calm... and cold as ice.
"...That's enough."
The sound of approaching footsteps cut through the silence between distant explosions. Each beat echoed like war drums, announcing something that no one there could ignore.
