Watching Bedivere carry Artoria's body away from the battlefield, Aslan sat on the hand of his Supreme Masterpiece, his feelings somewhat complex. The Supreme Masterpiece, as if sensing Aslan's thoughts, raised its other hand and gently patted Aslan on the head.
This action from the Supreme Masterpiece instantly pulled Aslan out of his complex mood. He felt as if his creation was treating him like a child. "I'm fine. And Justice, an action like that could be considered insubordination."
Aslan stood up and patted himself down. After witnessing the fall of a generation's legend, Aslan felt as if he no longer had the heart to remain on the Isle of Britain. But if he went to the continent, he wouldn't know what to do. Continue to spread his own legend? His legend was already sufficient. What's more, he had just rejected Alaya, and he had no desire to be constantly watched by that entity.
"Melusine... let's go to the Inner Sea of the Planet. We'll cross through Avalon from the Lake of the Faeries. With your original form, you should be able to open a path, right?"
Melusine swung her legs and then nodded. With a few leaps, she was behind Aslan, draping herself over his back. "Of course. It doesn't matter where we go. As long as I'm with Aslan, any scenery is more beautiful than Aurora. As a descendant of dragon-kind, after going there, Aslan will surely have more time to spend with me."
The blood flowing in Aslan's veins was that of the White Dragon, the bloodline of the White Dragon that represented the will of Britain. And it wasn't a diluted bloodline from many generations later, but a direct first-generation lineage. As a half-dragon, half-human, just like the half-incubus Merlin, it was possible that in the Inner Sea of the Planet, his dragon blood would become even more active. Undergoing atavism, it wasn't impossible for him to possess a near-eternal life.
More importantly, Avalon itself was part of the Inner Sea of the Planet, which meant he could go visit Merlin in the future. Aslan hadn't forgotten that he wanted to pilot his Supreme Masterpiece and give Merlin a good thrashing. It was time to settle new and old scores together! He wondered if Merlin, knowing his current choice, regretted locking himself in that tower where he couldn't go anywhere.
The Inner Sea of the Planet... he was truly curious about this other world that lay beneath the world of humanity. A world belonging to Phantasmal Species, a world where souls were laid to rest. He wondered if the Throne of Heroes existed somewhere in the Inner Sea of the Planet. He wondered if, by traveling eastward through the Inner Sea, he would be able to see the Immortals of the distant East. After all, according to the lore he vaguely remembered, the Ruyi Jingu Bang was the Pillar of the World for the East. This meant that the idea of traveling east through the Inner Sea should be feasible.
Aslan found that, compared to the life of a normal human, he was becoming more and more interested in these mysterious existences. Perhaps it was a case of "birds of a feather flock together." Aslan, who was no longer an ordinary person himself, naturally had more similar topics of conversation with the beings who lived in the Inner Sea of the Planet.
"Melusine, I permit you to release your original form!"
Melusine's figure soared into the sky, passing through the rings of light. Aslan reactivated the Supreme Masterpiece. Melusine's claws grabbed onto the masterpiece's shoulders. With the power of the masterpiece's divine furnace core, it could completely keep up with Melusine's speed for a short time.
Melusine, having returned to her original form, could be seen as a rainbow that crossed boundaries, or an open gate to another world (another dimension).
With Melusine as the vanguard soaring through the sky, she dove straight down towards the Lake of the Faeries. A brilliant gate of light immediately opened. The last dragon of the Isle of Britain, and the Supreme Masterpiece comparable to a god, vanished into the gate of light, definitively and irreversibly ending the Age of Gods in this land.
